[HYBE x Geffen] Dream Academy: Mission 1 Result Announcement & Epilogue Reaction

Not sure how I feel about this...I think there needs to be some transparency on the standings they came up with. While I like the voting aspect, it is absurd that people that were in the worst group were in the top 10. The 2 people who were eliminated weren't even in the worst group and the person who everyone praised is not even top 3. This is a mess so far.

I was also surprised Nayoung placed #1 considering she doesn't seem to have as many supporters as Samara and Sophia. I think she has a Korean fanbase voting for her though. Lara deserved to rank higher but I'm glad she was top 5

I just hope people don't vote based on things like that. I get wanting to support someone from the same place as you but what is the point of having a competition if it's going to come down to popularity? It should be who is the best, because they have shown they are ready

@@okayshaetechnically nayoung was the best singer on the show if you look at her pre-dream academy content, but she ended up not making it in either way. i think that’s why she had a lot of support at first tho

Brooklyn was probably the worst contestant across all the performances but she never got any criticism from the judges. I also don't understand how Manon ranked in the top 5 when she had two lines and even during those lines she didn't shine very much

Right!!! That is what I am saying. Like I don't want to sound harsh but the happier than ever group was my least favorite performance but 2 people from another group still went home...the math ain't mathin 🤔

I agree! She is in my top 5 but like you said she didn't have much time to show her vocals. Lara got praise from all of the judges and had plenty of lines. My displeasure comes from the situation not the specific person 😊
I have made it known multiple times that I really like Samara as well throughout this series ❤️

Top 6 = immunity, the rest is fair game, judges opinion and votes are taken in consideration for who to keep and who to eliminate that’s the format.

I still think that's crazy. I'm so curious to see how it will work in the end when there is not much immunity and how the judges will pick in the end

Sorry for all the comments. I'm commenting as I'm watching. The top 6 was determined by votes so they received immunity from the eliminations. The remaining contestants are all chosen by the judges. However, I wish they explicitly stated this during the eliminations to avoid confusion. At the end of the day, I think Hybe already has an idea of who they want to be in this group so they will probably have the final say

It's okay, I appreciate seeing others share their opinions! I just wish they would be more visible about these decisions since they make it seem like the people are voting. And I know they probably have a good idea of who's gonna end up in the group, the fans will keep voting for people even if they don't do well unfortunately. I just hope the judges will come in clutch when it gets closer because the ones getting called out shouldn't be saved every time

the top 6 in voting by fans were safe from elimination so voting matters, though I hope everyone based on their performance on mission 1. let's see how mission 2 goes.
