Went to Orlando for AACR2023 (American Association for Cancer Research) for 4 days! Here is a new clip from yesterday. Creating OpenPilot Clips is simply my hobby😀 and trying to document the growth of OpenPilot capability as a driver assistant! My real job is a scientist developing cancer drugs for patients!
Hello, Thanks for documenting these. I'm an engineer working in green energy. I recently bought a Prius and I'm looking at buying a comma 3. I've used a Tesla model 3 with full FSD for 2 years before this. I've seen all of your videos and they give me great insight on how comma 3 drives. Would be helpful to me (and hopefully others) deciding on buying a comma 3 if you can make a video talking about pros and cons of comma 3. Thanks!
Thanks Vignesh. You must also watch Andy Slye and Logan leGrand’s videos on AutoPilot vs. OpenPilot (ruclips.net/video/Hc8G5U0p1sA/видео.html) (ruclips.net/video/dQ0w_Ke3o4Q/видео.html). You might be able to find more info regarding the pros and cons of OpenPilot. I have been using OpenPilot for my Toyota and Honda for more than 3 years. Brought a Comma 2 and a Comma 3. I also have some experience with standard AutoPilot from Tesla and find myself to like OpenPilot more than AutoPilot. I believe FSD beta is way better than current OpenPilot, but have no experience yet. If you have a non-tesla car, doing a lot of commute everyday in the highway, your car supports OpenPilot, or if you like me, thinking about buying a new car, and need better driver assistant features, you should definitely give OpenPilot a try. Comma ai have 30-day free trial and you can return the product if you don’t like it.
Thank you for your video. Question for you, I have adaptive cruise control (ACC) on my car (Subaru with eyesight, which has two cameras), if the car in front of me is too far out and cameras detect no car, and if that car slows down abruptly, by the time camera detects it, it would be too late and on ACC alone, my car would slam into it. In other words, I have to be aware and intervene before ACC/Cameras do any thing. How does OpenPilot react in scenario like that, will it slow the car down (once it detects a slow car) in timely manner to avoid collision?
Openpilot does a much better job regarding adaptive cruise control than the stock. Check comma Ai ‘s website for supported car list. You can also buy Comma Three and try for one month😀
