That was the Missouri River that you walk over on the Bob Kerry Bridge. Bob Kerry is the former governor of Nebraska and also a former US senator. He was awarded the United States Congressional Medal of Honor for actions as a Navy SEAL during the Vietnam War. Remember, the wind stopped blowing one time in Nebraska and everyone fell down!
Yes, to all visitors, Downtown is the "city" part haha, then there's Midtown, Dundee, & Benson areas for more "city" parts & then the rest is still "city" but not the nice pretty historic buildings, art & entertainment kind, the normal kind, with Targets and WalMarts and and all the normal stuff everywhere, then out west is spreads out more and you get into the "country" parts with open fields & cows and farm country, etc. Omaha proper is all of it - but the part you showed is what I think most people would recommend visiting. Just in case anyone is wanting to visit. Also - visit the zoo, it's I think the #1 zoo now, for sure worth visiting a day or 2.
Thank you for showing how beautiful it is where I grew up!!! I definitely recommend the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. However make sure you set aside a day or two to visit it because its so big.
@@thomassmith9433 I call that Nebraska. 🤣There is a phrase in Nebraska. "Don't like the weather? Wait an hour." And it's supposed to be a low of 6 degrees on Thursday.

If you come back, go to the Hot Shops and go watch the Glass Blowing and other artists in their studios.. Always something neat going on there.

Awesome video 👍
Thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed your time in Omaha. You are lucky you were here in October versus February. It gets a lot colder! 🥶
Yes, I am not sure I can handle it that cold lol
It's in the 60s and it's February. You call that cold ?
@@thomassmith9433 When I was there, it felt very cold, especially with the wind. Mind you, I live in Florida so anything below 70 is cold to me 😅
