Auchi 2024 CBCN Plenary: SUNDAY OPENING

Sunday, August 25, was a momentous day at the ongoing CBCN plenary in Auchi, marked by a unique blend of spiritual significance and celebration. The day began with the official Opening Mass for the 2024 second CBCN plenary at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Auchi. The Chief Celebrant at the Mass was the CBCN President, Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, while the homily was given by the host Bishop, Most Rev. Gabriel Dunia. He warmly welcomed all bishops, clergy and guests to the Diocese of Auchi. He emphasized the crucial role of Catholic bishops as fathers of the church, gathered with Jesus Christ in Auchi to continue the work of Christ through prayer, faith, and fasting.
