Just saw him at Glyndebourne and he is sensational. Fantastic
Superb performance at Glyndebourne. Can sing brilliantly.. Commanding stage presence as Caesar! Entire cast was exceptional .... Cleopatra, Cornelia, Sextus and Ptolomeo. Cohen has a superb career ahead of him.

YESSSSS! A great version, lovely voice, and great horn playing which is key to this piece. Sometimes the horn lets it down badly like in Cecilia Bartoli version in Monaco January when the horn playing was atrocious and spoiled the song.
Very very very good. Great talent. Of course it is not yet sang as well as when Scholl, Fagioli or Daniels interpreted it, but this guy is not even 30 yet. I bet after few more years of hard work, he will be a major star.

Even though there is all praise here, it cannot be overheard that this - albeit melodically beautiful voice - lacks metallic sound material and thus power.
With this aria, the volume must certainly be reduced by the singer without losing the intensity of the voice. Nevertheless, this aria requires an intense metallic sound, a power that Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen unfortunately does not have and therefore seems overwhelmed vocally.
Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen seems unsuitable for the role of Caesar.
Heard him live this year. He's ready. Don't you worry.
Heard him at Glyndebourne. He was more than ready! He was brilliant! He was Caesar!
