1st Save: 47:20 (Chapter 4, when you leave the area of chapter 4) 2nd Save: 1:35:00 (Chapter 7, after unlocking the theater) 3rd Save (optional in this guide): 1:51:48 (chapter 9, before the gate with the blood) 4th Save: 2:06:30 (Chapter 10, Torres Safe House) 5th Save: 2:41:30 (Chapter 13, after the fire walk) 6th Save: 2:56:38 (Chapter 14, after Theodore got killed) 7th Save: 3:04:55 (Chapter 15, before the Myra Boss Fight)
I already finished Classic Mode a few weeks ago, but I am watching anyway for support! You helped me on AKUMU so its the least I can do, plus I enjoy your commentary! Thank You!
Fantastic guide! Though I think it's worth noting that, besides the keys, you get something like 100 herbs a and ton of gunpowder for completing the Shooting Gallery. While perhaps not needed, it can help players feel more at ease in regards to their resources.
The mark of a great guide is strats that are easy to replicate and that's exactly what this and your first Evil Within guides provide. Thanks for taking the time to make them. Thumbs up. :)
Dammit Jigz, for the love of Keeper can you please talk about The Evil Within, talk about what makes this beautiful games so special, you are like the only person who creates content for these games I'd very much appriciate your thoughts on this topic love ya.
Finished classic mode. I followed many strategies from your guide but you have to be a veteran and very aggressive player to do stuff like you. You are a beast running around and killing everything with that ease lol. Anyways thanks again Jigz, see you on streaming!
Nostos i agree with you. I have beaten classic following this guide but on some parts I had to do things my way because I obviously wasnt able to pull some stuff. Still its very useful.
You most definitly don't have to be. You can easily do the exact stuff he is doing. Easy as a cake. BUT ... what needs a lot of power, a lot of energy and willpower ... might be most definitly to find the easyest way through this game ... xD ... To have the passion to find out this simple methods ... hell ... I don't really wanna know through how much pain Jig was going through x_x ... Pain and dedication Dx
yo Jigz! i dont comment much but i wanted to thank you for this amazing guide. as of just now i got the platinum and you were a huge help, things that seems hard really were easy if you knew what you were doing! thanks so much keep up the great work!
I love this walkthrough, saved me so much time. though i feel like i get so unlucky at times trying to replicate what you do bro. I get Wrecked like half the time. and the other 50% I do perfectly lol.
Thanks alot dude! Im writing this as the credits roll, you really helped me out and please keep playing evil within, either if the dlc come out or a sequel (hopefully). The only part I didn't follow your guide was on chapter 9 on the prison cells with the lost, I died there and once i came back i just killed them all before i opened the cell doors, then just left the witch wondering. Thanks again.
Thanks a lot man. I played this game for the first time when it was just released and after these years I thought why not get the platinum for this game? Really impressed by how smooth you pull these strats off, nice work.
This was my first platinum! Just finished it today, feeling accomplished xD. This vid really came in clutch for navigating high traffic areas that I didn't want to bother dying multiple times and trying to figure out. Like the section just before Theodore fight.
Just beat it today. Wanna say thanks . This guide was super helpful. The parts I ended up dying on was the lab before the o'neal fight cause I tried to throw a bottle past a wall in front of me to distract it, and it ended up hitting the wall and alerting it. then it ran up and grabbed me as I tried to run away and it killed me. Died there, my first firewalk cause the fire enemy ate my shot and still hit me twice before I could heal. ( Pissed me off ), and the part after the fire walk cause I went the wrong way from the guide. All in all. Thanks a lot. I never thought I'd be able to have the patience to beat the game , but I did. thanks to you. I appreciate it, mang.
Thank u sir I wasn’t able to finish the evil within 1 on casual mode after i watched ur walkthrough i did it and platniumed the game also the evil within 2 i got the platinum today keep doing what ur doing ur awesome
Excellent guide buddy. I just finished Classic Mode for the first time tonight and got the trophy for it, and by proxy the Platinum. Thanks to you I can put this challenge behind me. While I didn't quite use this guide to the letter, I did use it as the mold to shape my run. The only difference is I went out of my way to grab all 32 keys and all ammo pouches. Probably wasn't too smart in hindsight since I never even used the keys, but it's not too terrible if you plan your saves around it. Thankfully I got the first part down in one try, but I was prepared to lose a couple of hours to a few failures in Chapter 3, as I figured it would serve me well later if I stretched out the early saves so I can be more liberal with them in the second half of the game. I got through Chapter 3 on the first try and well stocked to boot, so it wasn't hard to get my foot in the door, but I can see it being the most nervewracking part since it's a lot of time wasted for every failure and things can go wrong very easily to boot. Anyway, my seven saves: 1: Chapter 4 after reaching second safehouse AND completing the Shooting Gallery for the rewards 2: End of Chapter 7, after Paintings but before entering Theatre to face Stefano 3: End of Chapter 9, before Cabin fight 4: End of Chapter 11, after O'Neil fight 5: End of Chapter 13, before the fire walk 6: End of Chapter 14, before Theodore 7: Chapter 16, right before Myra By stretching out the first two saves, I was able to be spare enough in the second half to basically make a save every 2 chapters, in places that could be potentially very dangerous or be very bad if they go wrong, like the fire walk. It was basically 30 minutes between each save after the 2nd one, and save for a few hiccups (death to Lament in the lab before O'Neil, several deaths to DIsciples getting all the keys/pouches in Chapter 13), things went pretty steady after Chapter 7. And this guide is what both encouraged me to do it and enabled me to pull it off. Kudos for that, Jigzaw.
Great guide as always my man, you're the best I've ever seen at these two games, I've beaten Survival, Nightmare and Akumu on this one with really no issues. But this classic mode is really getting me hard, I made my first save at the beginning of chapter 4, this was before I found your guide, but I keep dying in chapter 7 to the "Hysteria"? the bitch in the "WHITE" dress, not red (a little homage to Krauser lol), but seeing your idea makes me think I can finally do it. I usually try to beat games on their harder modes with my own style of play, but this mode is kicking my ass, and it's that section in chapter 7 like I said that keeps getting me, but I'm gonna use your strat, thanks man!
Thank you very much Jigsaw, you really helped me finish this classic mode on pc with your video. A lot of your tips work just fine. Some are hard to pull off tho. One didn't work, it was the escape of the gardian chapter 5, she would catch up with me everytime at the back door. In any case, good job and keep up with the good work !
Omg my heart dude. I literally made it to chapter 14 with no saves left and ran out of supplies. I probably could've beaten the game but as much trouble that I had would've been faster to just follow you. I have so much supplies right now on chapter 4. Way more than I had following a different tutorial. Haven't saved yet so maybe I'll continue forward without Saving. Man, the struggle is real.
Just recently finished akumu (for part 1) using your guide and scored the platinum trophy. Now I’m about to start my classic run for this game. Thanks for putting these guides out!
And....just finished the classic mode run thanks to you man! The bitch parts for me was the fire walk. Must've died at least 8-10 times trying to do it. Made a save before and after that damn encounter and then went smooth sailing from then on out. Praise to you sir!
If yall are wondering about classic mode here are some answers. 1. The difficulty of classic mode is not entirely Nightmare since there are fewer enemies and all enemies and bosses on classic mode have survival health which is their base health but they still do nightmare attack damage. 2. No, you can not upgrade so green gel and weapon parts are nonexistent but instead, you get tons of gun powder, herbs, ammo, first aid kits, and syringes. 3. You can only save 7 times throughout the game but believe or not there is an 8th save buts that will be for the cleared game only. 4. Costumes are disabled in this mode leaving you with only the default costume. 5. Completing classic mode will unlock infinite ammo.
Thank you sir. This helped me to get the Classic. I did use some of my own tactics at couple points but mostly yours. Now I just need to do all collectibles and upgrades :)
Thanks a lot for the fantastic guide man! I'm not nearly as good as you are so it took me a bit longer to replicate the strategies, but for the most part they were spot on. Thanks again, Jigzaw. I'll play your game any day :p
Thanks man! I took a long break after finishing it on nightmare on my first playthrough and now im back! Going for the platinum:) This guide helped tremendously and even though i died 100 times on classic, you got me through it every second on the way!.....even at timed when i decided "screw it"! Im doing it my way hahaha whatever it takes i guess! Cheers :)
Awesome guide! I saved before the firewalk and made it thru it on the 1st attempt, but then managed to choke on Laura lol. I failed the firewalk like 5 times after that
THX alot man!! Like in TEW 1 with akumu guide your classic guide helped through something that seemed impossible or at least nerve wrecking as hell for me!! In my opinion this one was even harder than akumu because you have no autosaves.....
Done it! Thanks a lot for your help, Jigzaw. Ya helped me in 2016 with TEW Akumu mode and once again your guide proved essential for TEW2 Classic mode. For everyone else who has yet to start it. The idea of Classic mode is a lot worse than the reality of it. Like, the only times I died was the firewalk and the watcher boss at the end. Put it this way... Akumu mode turned out exactly as you fear it will play. That is not the case at all for Classic. It is very manageable with this guide.
Thank you. I really am surprised how many people still say they had problems. They even lower the bosses health on classic mode. Glad I could help you out as well, thanks for watching :D
Finally finished classic mode, thanks a lot for this guide! Some parts were pretty hard to pull off but worked nicely when done exactly like in the video. Had one crash at the second painting before Stefano fight with the latest PS4 patch so anyone trying to do this beware :S
I died many times from chapter 4-7 so couple of tips for people who aren't as good as Jigzaw (like myself). In sewers crouch behind screaming lady straight away as she's always walking away from you, stab her then let her chase you back to the crawlspace you just came through. Go through and she'll turn around, come out and stab her again. Job done. For the Guardian on chapter 5 take the same route as Jigzaw but after picking up first explosive bolt only shoot sniper rifle box (guardian will break the others) this gives you more time to back up towards the stairs, then shoot the barrel, quick turn, hop on stairs and pick up what he does. Shoot only syringe box, now here's what really stopped me from dying. Do everything he does but do not pick up any of the items that come out of the boxes, only pick up the explosive traps. This saves you loads of time and gets you through the door quicker (still use electric bolt though). I died here at least 3 times. After you've killed Obscura and leave EVERY ITEM that came out of a box will still be there so retrace the route in which she chased you and get all the loot then. Hope this helps anyone who has to replay this annoying section. Btw excellent guide Jigzaw. I'm on chapter 9 so far thanks to this guide.
Your guide helps a lot to get ready for what comes next. Still, naturally, we need some adaptations to our own style so we can be comfortable. I simply can't rush in these games sometimes (like that one when the Theodore part starts and you need to open the gate with the crank). I tried 4 times to do as you did but everything happened differently. So I had to play my style: with patience and stealth killing everyone. And it worked. The same for when Torres's part starts. Anyways, besides that, I achieved my goal and your guide helped a lot. Thank you!
I personally reccomend to "practice" until you make it just before the Stefano Fight to make the first save, the first half is easier than the second half of the game, when you can use all 6 remaining saves. That worked for me just fine, besides that, this is an excellent guide to make it through this relentless achievement. It's really satisfactory at the end to replay in "destroy everything" mode with the infinite ammo.
Some time ago I started to play the second part after the first one in a couple of months. So I've beaten TEW2 on nightmare difficulty for 25 hours, and I was kinda scared to pass through the places like when 3 burning lost face you in the chapter 9, defending the house with Torres, fire walk AGAIN but on classic mode. And when I saw some of your speedrun strats and hear lots of tips, I decided to try it. My heart was beating faster while I went to Stefano's arts and back or when I got 2 hits from demon-dogs in the chapter 3, I was really scared to lose progress xD And yep, I've done this finally just with one death on the last boss, thank you so much for the video, you really helped me to get this unforgettable experience! I'm gonna keep enjoying your other videos. Nightmare difficulty > classic mode in many aspects, by the way.
This helped out a lot, thanks for this! I saved in a couple different places like before the fire walk and right before all the bosses from the first game because i'm not as skilled, but I made it finally.
game just crashed 1 minute before i wanted to save for the first time i was in chapter 8 before Stefano. I deleted the game i just can't do it again...
same exact thing happened to me! i swear i wanted to save before i try the second painting shit, because it contained that crazy bitch called hysteria! and i passed successfully, then the game crashed and i went to chapter 4 where i had the save! fuck this
Thank you so much for the guide, I don’t think I would have been able to beat the game otherwise! You were also a great help for ew 1 Akumu mode. You’re a great player, I think I’ll check out on twitch for future games. 👍🏻
I have to say 2018 on PS4 save 1 to save 2 (chp.4-7) is a huge pain with this guide.. I had atleast 5 attempts before I made it, obscura fight took WAY more healing than it did for you, her movements were just not predictable at all. theres so many times I got seen/hit/killed by different enemies/bosses even when trying to replicate your actions exactly. I strongly feel like there should have been a save somewhere between the 5 bosses/mini bosses in those chapters because thats also way too long to rely on PS4 not crashing the game, which did happen to me on my second attempt at the very end while destroying the second painting! Very discouraging when that happens, and altogether I just felt very discouraged following this guide during those chapters!
Ya right! In chapter 7 in union post, I got chased by the first guardian all the way to the beginning and cornered me and sliced me in half lol. So she doesn't stop chasing. Oh well. Gotta go all the way back to cgapter five.
Same here. And then she attacked me through the wall while I was in the safehouse. I had to use the computer to teleport back to the marrow or whatever it was, then teleport back just so she'd be gone and I could be safe in the fricken safehouse, and make my second save.
I would would just kill her myself, she's very easy. Use the 2 explosive barrels, and the oil spill you can use twice, then just shock bolt her and shotgun her a few more times and she dead, easy. Then you can also collect all the supplies in the boss fight area. Oh wait I'm dumb, you're talking about the Guardians milling around the town, night the boss fight at City Hall. I found those ones super easy to avoid.
I liked the evil with in 1 also for its over the top characters , the feel was much more crazier and unpredictable . This one has its points also but I loved the first one that opening scene with the city falling apart was effin sick!!
Well I'm late as s*** but I'm replaying both of them for Halloween and yeah I'm still on the side of evil within one with all of its crazy Janke being more appealing game to me. What I like about it is that it's less about you know shooting bits and things like that and way more about just clever use of items I mean it's really hard to explain especially you know in the comment section but you have a lot of freedom that you just don't have an evil within 2
Mate, you are a legend, great commentary too. Your strats are pretty flawless and easy to follow. Loved how you always went, ''this part is a pain, but nah tbh it's easy'' Kept me motivated. Followed it all along, had a couple deaths and not as much ammo n herbs but it all worked out fine. Y. Thank you Jigzaw, thumps up.
Classic Mode completed! Super easy compared to Akuma in the first game. Though it was pretty damn frustrating when the game crashed 3 times and I lost about 6 hours total. This guide was very helpful, though I took a lot longer, since I explored more for supplies and did a lot more sneak attacks. Thanks!
I think classic mode is way more better than akumu. On akumu i wished it would end as soon as possible even following your genious guide lol. And classic playthrough i beat on my own and it was my fav part of the EW2 experience
kehossf4 with your comment I’m feeling a little more confident beating classic mode. I just beat Akumu last night with 242 deaths. I’d feel about about those deaths if I hadn’t seen some people die over 600 times. I’ll be trying classic soon enough and definitely wouldn’t mind if it’s easier than Akumu.
You know when I first started classic mode playthrough I thought it was impossible because it literally took me to the end of my rope but with this guide I was able to do it and get infinite among other things so thanks
Hey man, good guide but you forgot to mentioned some things that got me killed, for example at 1:16:17 there's a guy that comes alive behind you. LE: progressing more through the game made me realize there are slight differences between xbox and ps4, like spawning locations or AI detection distance. Also on chapter 11 when you pass the fire, on ps4, the flame wall is much thicker and you can barely see anything. Oh and I almost forgot, you need to have played this game a lot to be able to do things your way. If you are on second or third playthrough like me you need to improvise tons since many situations doesn't seem to work like in video. It's hard to match that exact timings unless you have spent many many hours in this game. You're good at this and that's why when you say "next encounter is easy" might be a trap for some.
Hi - you need to have his exact timings - if you are "late" monsters will be on the path already ... the only thing from his guide that no matter how hard I try won't work for me is the way he treats Obscura ...
well, I managed today to complete classic mode and this video helped but I didn't follow it precisely. It felt easier for me to change strategies on many occasions were I could find safer approaches (more fitted to my playstyle anyway). On the Obscura I thought it was too risky to sneak behind it with chances of getting damage so I worked the normal approach. I didn't lost any health but at the expense of some shotgun bullets.
Socketsdetroie same here, what I did instead was I let it chase me around one of those pillars, it froze the emitter a few times but just bait it away then shoot it's head with you shotgun
jepp - for me from the whole classic run the most annoying was that the harbinger in the room after the fire walk kept on spawning just when I wanted to go through the gates and up the stairs :D not to mention that O Neal was a bit one hit killing spree mode :D
Ah I just beat it two days ago lol I appreciate your guide nonetheless. You got me the plat for the first game... this is not as tough as 1 but it is more stressful!! Cheers Jigz
I'm just starting and I really needed this. I did Platinum this back in day when PS4 Pro got the unlocked frames, but now doing it on Steam with maxed settings. I'm fully capable of doing this, but when I last did it, I literally went after everything, so could imagine how much time I wasted waiting to sneak attack with zero upgrades. I'm seriously gonna 1 for 1 this guide in all the open areas, cause if I didn't, I'd prob be in Chapter 3 for like 5 hours collecting.
My Notes on Save 1: -My biggest scares were, the garage as missed sneak kill so just had to bail. The witch for shotgun pouch on mansion, I got stuck in limbo box with her but slipped through somehow, and surprisingly the guy in warehouse with axe, I usually just sneak kill him but he turned around, and freaking missed axe swing, and his 1 hit nearly killed me. -Just skip the guys in front of warehouse and go back in way first came in. I also followed someone elses tactic for fighting crawlers, and ran back in and shot crawlers on the stairs as they get stuck, so used about 2 clips instead of a shocker bolt. Also, them other stairs take you to a room filled with loot, def worth detour. Also, in middle of map where grab shotgun bullets, I found it easier to go into garage first, grab everything, then get the shotgun bullets as easy to run to mansion after waking them all up. -After you do save before marrow, its easy to go grab a few things as pressure is off and quick 5 mins even if mess up is no big deal to me, cause it is nowhere near as bad as the 30 minutes to get to Chap 3 or the other 30 minutes to get all this chapter done. I grabbed key between train (no one in way of route) and 100% easily just get the key on the sign by safe house as after crawlers fight, no one is there on hill by it. -Since backtracked to the train key, I also grabbed the HG pouch in the train, although did take 10ish bullets to kill both and first guy is kind of risky, but felt that long term i'll get those bullets back by not leaving ammo behind, so the pouch will pay for itself. -There was never a good chance for the other HG pouch as witch blocks it and after crawlers fight, it is like 6 people, without ambush and better running, just wasn't worth it to me personally. -I also did all the shooting courses to get all the powder and keys. Then opened them all up before I finally saved.
Save 2 Notes: -His tactics are totally speed run based, however Ive adapted a more safe approach that fits me better. I killed zombie in room with the warden pouch first, and then killed the other sleeping up there by ladder. This way no one can climb ladder or is near when doors open. -With the 2 in pit, I nearly got grabbed trying to run past, I was able to start climbing before got hit again, and they both beat me to top, so just stop midway on ladder, and they'll climb back down into pit, giving you way more clearance to get to gas mask room. First girl in gas area, its easy to just crouch on other side and avoid her without having her chase you. -Gas room, as he starts going down right tunnel, just grab key and then just follow him crouching, he stares at the wall at very end of tunnel of his walking cycle, giving plenty of time to crawl behind him and get into power room, you do panel after he passes the door, and then go hide behind barrels in the corner, til heads back down power room tunnel, and can easily get to door without him seeing you. All 4 scenarios, are vastly more safer than his tactics, as a lot of his stuff might be faster, but lets enemies see you, lets them get so freaking close.
I bitched out, after triggering the paintings, grabbed a few things and then saved. I'm glad I did, cause I struggled getting paintings and stephano done. First, I did bar painting fine all times. But your tactic with the Hotel painting, obscura wasn't even on side I went to, yet she somehow she hit me every time and times I went to side with her nearly killed me, but my first run she killed me gate despite having shocker down. Then 2nd run somehow the witch at pouch killed me. I finally got everything done, and did the camera area, and somehow near end I crouch in spot that gets light and died. So I decided to turn on infinite sprint, cause allowed me to get back to where I was faster only doing what your run does, worked amazingly, and got all the way to Stephano and beat him first try, although wasted crap ton of ammo. Then absolute worst thing happened. I knew I couldn't save, so before heading to dungeon was watching video to master the area, and once felt I knew exactly what to do, realized my game crashed!!! So lowered my bitch levels a 3rd time, and turned on infinite run, invincible and strong hits. Clearly got to Stephano easy with just infinite run, what I didn't know, was 1 shot ended both Stephano phases. At this point, figured I'll do dungeon anyways for practice. I screwed up the crank badly, no one got hit by first smoke bomb, and followed me across room, smoked again, yet they all followed me to gate. Luckily I left all the cheats on and just punched them all. I kept going to try lava guys, and they are a lot easier than thought, shockers best way for sure. I debated redoing everything without easy killing Stephano and doing crank room properly, but eh. I know I can do them just fine, only part feel bad about is all this ammo I saved lol
Thank you so much, such a helpful guide, any news of DLCs, there are at least two things to discuss, first Joseph is alive, and second if Myra is really dead and maybe a third DLC to play as the Harbinger (just like the keeper in the first Evil Within) or some back story of how all the plan of saving Lily started and play as Kidman again
At chapter 13 now, right before the fire walk. How I did the saves is the same as the vid suggests, except for a couple of differences. 1st - Start of Chapter 5, before the guardian (the sewer part of chapter 4 is simple) 2nd - Chapter 7, after destroying both paintings 3rd - Chapter 10 safe house 4th - Chapter 13, in hotel before fire walk ... Then I plan to use the rest as such 5th - Chapter 13, after fire walk 6th - Chapter 14, after Theodore 7th - Chapter 15, before Myra fight The fire walk has me worried and I really don't want to have to repeat Chapter 11 and Chapter 12. So, it made sense to use the optional save for before the fire walk.
What was your strategy for Stefano? I'm having a lot of trouble with him. How was the cabin fight? I ask because once I defeat Stefano I REALLY do not want to have to run past that damn eye for the 100th time to fight him only to possibly die again, but I'd rather not waste the optional save because I'm worried about a few spots near the end and don't want to have to repeat long sections over and over again.
Following this guide but in first person mode 😅 it's actually cool kinda turns it into a FPS I played it first in casual mode in 3rd person view so wanted to try this now 😎
@55:58 it is possible to stealth kill the gas lost however it takes 2 attempts and is risky to do normally however if you attack once just run back to the board entrance because it can't enter it and will stop chasing and go back on patrol then attack again and it's dead.
So true! I actually risked it and killed her, but now I stuggle with chapter 15. I can't seem to be able to not die at the white zombies. I tried using freeze bolts but they need multible hits to drop dead because ice isn't their weakness, unlike the fire guys on previous chapters. Hopefully after this video I'll finally beat Classic mode.
@@superhorrorfangurl I prefer shock bolts on them I took extra time to look for fuses. Shock bolts save me in most situations. They can still be stealth killed but I never suggest it with them but the one that causes trouble is big boy. After him it's pretty much free.
@@superhorrorfangurl also craft herbs. Every time you get hit use a med if you have close to or as many as him it should be fine. The shotgun to the stomach still works wonders as he does.
@@shadowdrayd I have been doing something risky, but it payed of. I collected 27/32 keys and now I have for chapters 15 and 16 about 200 gunpowder, full ammo on my weapons, 100 herbs 😂. I just hope that I will manage to follow your strategy. It's very good, idk if I will succeed. Wish me luck LOL
awesome guide :D I've been following along but got screwed over outside the theatre so I'm back to the first save before the gas filled area. The guardian outside the theatre didn't stop following me like she did to you so she chased me until i ran out of stamina and then i got swarmed by 3 random lost that came out of nowhere and ended up dying
@@bloodhunter2789 lol I ended up getting like halfway through the game and my save got corrupted, so I got fed up and just did my classic mode playthrough with cheats turned on
To save people some grief, for any like me who are playing this gem later than most people, if you are doing a Classic mode run, Please, Please, Please avoid the projector like the plague. I was fixing to do my first save on my run and Sebastian got stuck in the chair staring at the wall. So i get to restart my whole run due to a bug. And this was with having collected angel statues and pouches. By all means look at the projector on any other difficulty.
1st Save: 47:20 (Chapter 4, when you leave the area of chapter 4)
2nd Save: 1:35:00 (Chapter 7, after unlocking the theater)
3rd Save (optional in this guide): 1:51:48 (chapter 9, before the gate with the blood)
4th Save: 2:06:30 (Chapter 10, Torres Safe House)
5th Save: 2:41:30 (Chapter 13, after the fire walk)
6th Save: 2:56:38 (Chapter 14, after Theodore got killed)
7th Save: 3:04:55 (Chapter 15, before the Myra Boss Fight)
thank you !
why is this not the top comment. Thank you!
Top comment please! Thank u
you're welcome guys :)
Not all hero's wear capes
Thumbs up. :)
Hey I just want to say thank you, this got me through classic mode and your commentary is great! Keep up the awesome work dude.
Dammit Jigz, for the love of Keeper can you please talk about The Evil Within, talk about what makes this beautiful games so special, you are like the only person who creates content for these games I'd very much appriciate your thoughts on this topic love ya.

Nostos i agree with you. I have beaten classic following this guide but on some parts I had to do things my way because I obviously wasnt able to pull some stuff.
Still its very useful.
Gus V Yeah, same here. I tried running past things a couple times and nearly or did die. Ended up playing my usual style, lure and stealth kill
You most definitly don't have to be. You can easily do the exact stuff he is doing. Easy as a cake. BUT ... what needs a lot of power, a lot of energy and willpower ... might be most definitly to find the easyest way through this game ... xD ...

Followed most of your strategies to finish the classic mode, and finally plat the game today. Thanks to your great video. Cheers.
Thank you so much, I needed this guide to earn my platinum trophy. You are a lifesaver.
Thanks for this. I finished akumu with you help and now classic with your help as well. Keep playing, you're a legend at this game.
"Feelin' fine" is a reference to the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode that parodies The Shining
oh wow, didn't think of that! nice catch.
I feel silly for having made a comment about that without scrolling down...
Mathew Durand you get 0 points
There's a trophy called 'bootable offence' I'm pretty sure that's another nod to the Simpsons.
No TV and no beer make homer something something
I trust this man when it comes to The Evil Within
Couldn't have done it without you! Thanks, Jigzaw! Miss ireland, lived there a while back. Amazing country
thank you very much for the guide, after 2 weeks I managed to get this achievement, you are incredible bro
yo Jigz! i dont comment much but i wanted to thank you for this amazing guide. as of just now i got the platinum and you were a huge help, things that seems hard really were easy if you knew what you were doing! thanks so much keep up the great work!
Just finished Classic Mode now, with a time of 05:31. Thank you so much.
Great video, as always.
Thank u sir I wasn’t able to finish the evil within 1 on casual mode after i watched ur walkthrough i did it and platniumed the game also the evil within 2 i got the platinum today keep doing what ur doing ur awesome
Best guide there is, thank you, i was able to platinum the game
Anyway, my seven saves:
1: Chapter 4 after reaching second safehouse AND completing the Shooting Gallery for the rewards
2: End of Chapter 7, after Paintings but before entering Theatre to face Stefano
3: End of Chapter 9, before Cabin fight
4: End of Chapter 11, after O'Neil fight
5: End of Chapter 13, before the fire walk
6: End of Chapter 14, before Theodore
7: Chapter 16, right before Myra
By stretching out the first two saves, I was able to be spare enough in the second half to basically make a save every 2 chapters, in places that could be potentially very dangerous or be very bad if they go wrong, like the fire walk.
Thank you Jigz for the guide and helping me get the platinum trophy!
What a great guide !! Thank you so much for making this
1:04:00 -1:04:10 some pro loves, great video jigzaw!
Hell yeah jigzaw you make the best guides ever!!!!
Shit! EVERY time myra grabs me I die! I cant find the shooting reticle! She swishes me every time! 12 in a fucking row!
Thank You! I just beat classic an hour or so ago. Your video and tips made it so much easier. Thank you.
Did you get the achievement?
I used my last save at chapter 13 before the fire walk, low on ammo and shit was tense, your guide helped a lot, thanks!!!!
And....just finished the classic mode run thanks to you man! The bitch parts for me was the fire walk. Must've died at least 8-10 times trying to do it. Made a save before and after that damn encounter and then went smooth sailing from then on out. Praise to you sir!
This is my exact situation at the moment. One save left. My last save was right before the boss encounters succession
YOU ARE THE BEST!
!!
thanks, i just got platinum with this guide, you are my helper since The Evil Within 1 (AKUMU Mode).
I'm really appreciated your guide video, without your guide I might be stuck in chapter 10 forever, so thank you so much!
Finally completed After all the cursing at your guide and the tv screen. Thanks for the guide. It made it all possible for me to get through it 👍
Thank you sir.
Finally got the platinum trophy lol Thanks for making a guide; it was very helpful!
Not gonna lie, used up my 60 herbs at the final boss. Thanks for the guide!
I just want to say thank you so much couldn't have beat it without you
Awesome guide :) Used it to get the Platinum on PS4. Cheers man and happy new year!
Thanks man!
I took a long break after finishing it on nightmare on my first playthrough and now im back! Going for the platinum:)
This guide helped tremendously and even though i died 100 times on classic, you got me through it every second on the way!.....even at timed when i decided "screw it"! Im doing it my way hahaha whatever it takes i guess! Cheers :)
Awesome guide! I saved before the firewalk and made it thru it on the 1st attempt, but then managed to choke on Laura lol. I failed the firewalk like 5 times after that
I've been waiting for this, I always enjoy your runs thanks for the help
I did it. I finally did it. Thank you for this guide. It helped a ton!
Congrats!! thanks for using the guide :)
@@JigzawKiller ur welcome. You were a gargantuan help
THX alot man!! Like in TEW 1 with akumu guide your classic guide helped through something that seemed impossible or at least nerve wrecking as hell for me!! In my opinion this one was even harder than akumu because you have no autosaves.....
20:55
Tip: of you look all the way back to where the cars are (truck, suv, and van) run to the white van. You’ll see a body with 5-10 pistol ammo
Thanks, got me the platinum with this
game just crashed 1 minute before i wanted to save for the first time i was in chapter 8 before Stefano. I deleted the game i just can't do it again...
sucks :/ ps4 or pc? I think ps4 version is still quite buggy. I would save before, In like chapter 4. You'll still have decent amount of saves left.
I'am playing on the PS4. After an hour i re installed the game to try again :) saved before city hall now
Finally got it :)
Oooooppsy. Should have saved in chapter 4 or 7 can't feel sorry for you bro. I'm just saying. Grrrrrr
same exact thing happened to me! i swear i wanted to save before i try the second painting shit, because it contained that crazy bitch called hysteria! and i passed successfully, then the game crashed and i went to chapter 4 where i had the save! fuck this
I don't know how to thank you. You're the best! You win a French Suscriber. Thank's again!
Thank you so much for the guide, I don’t think I would have been able to beat the game otherwise! You were also a great help for ew 1 Akumu mode. You’re a great player, I think I’ll check out on twitch for future games. 👍🏻
Great and informative walkthrough as always!
Very useful guide. Good commentary. Much appreciated. Made it to the end. Thanks
Thank you for the guide!! Literally just completed it! It was so stressful!
game can crash at 1:27 not sure why I had the key and blue screen on PS4
Starting classic tonite, your Akumu guide got me my TEW platinum let's go for number 2 😲
Update: thanks Jigz
This guide was very helpful, great work!
Ya right! In chapter 7 in union post, I got chased by the first guardian all the way to the beginning and cornered me and sliced me in half lol. So she doesn't stop chasing. Oh well. Gotta go all the way back to cgapter five.
Scott Nopper same here.
Amazing guide, followed it to the t, very comprehensive, thanks so much.
I like evil within 1 more but this game is a delightful time
Nicholas Dismukes What do you like about the 1st one that was better?
Love the levels more on 1
I liked the evil with in 1 also for its over the top characters , the feel was much more crazier and unpredictable . This one has its points also but I loved the first one that opening scene with the city falling apart was effin sick!!
I missed the optional bosses.
Well I'm late as s*** but I'm replaying both of them for Halloween and yeah I'm still on the side of evil within one with all of its crazy Janke being more appealing game to me. What I like about it is that it's less about you know shooting bits and things like that and way more about just clever use of items I mean it's really hard to explain especially you know in the comment section but you have a lot of freedom that you just don't have an evil within 2
You helped me with akumu, and now it's time to help me again.
such a good guide. your accent is music to me. I think you're the only guide ill watch x
Patience and Waiting at the right moment are best way.
Y. Thank you Jigzaw, thumps up.
thank you, glad this could help you ! :D
A tad late, but the "feelin' fine" bit is a reference to "the shining"
Rahul Verma that worked for me too :)
jepp - for me from the whole classic run the most annoying was that the harbinger in the room after the fire walk kept on spawning just when I wanted to go through the gates and up the stairs :D not to mention that O Neal was a bit one hit killing spree mode :D
Here go again hehe Thanks, Jigz, this guide will very useful for SpeedRuns Practice! :p
Ah I just beat it two days ago lol I appreciate your guide nonetheless. You got me the plat for the first game... this is not as tough as 1 but it is more stressful!! Cheers Jigz
Thanks so much for this! Your AKUMU speedrun on the first game helped me so much. You're a fucking legend!
My Notes on Save 1:
-My biggest scares were, the garage as missed sneak kill so just had to bail.
Save 2 Notes:
-His tactics are totally speed run based, however Ive adapted a more safe approach that fits me better.
Thanks, man. You are the best. From Russia with love
great guide, you are only reason I beat it on classic.
1st - Start of Chapter 5, before the guardian (the sewer part of chapter 4 is simple)
2nd - Chapter 7, after destroying both paintings
3rd - Chapter 10 safe house
4th - Chapter 13, in hotel before fire walk
... Then I plan to use the rest as such
5th - Chapter 13, after fire walk
6th - Chapter 14, after Theodore
7th - Chapter 15, before Myra fight
The fire walk has me worried and I really don't want to have to repeat Chapter 11 and Chapter 12. So, it made sense to use the optional save for before the fire walk.
Aaaaand I was dead on about using that free save for before the fire walk. Right at the end of it I died.
Just won yesterday lol thanks for the guide it took me 4 hours beat the game on classic 👌🏻
Diego Asencio
Wow that’s a good time
Took me 6 lol
i dont know lol just made the exact same things that he made on the video, just died like 3 times :p
Your guide helped. :-) Thanks for posting this.
Following this guide but in first person mode 😅 it's actually cool kinda turns it into a FPS I played it first in casual mode in 3rd person view so wanted to try this now 😎
Finally beat it, thanks bro
Thanks for that guide, man you are the best
Thank you very much for this run. Some strategies are way too pro to imitate but many were extremely helpful!
@@superhorrorfangurl there's just something satisfying about defeating the creature at that part than just running through.
Wish me luck LOL
awesome guide, just got the trophy with clear time 5h 33m. Thank you.
awesome guide :D I've been following along but got screwed over outside the theatre so I'm back to the first save before the gas filled area. The guardian outside the theatre didn't stop following me like she did to you so she chased me until i ran out of stamina and then i got swarmed by 3 random lost that came out of nowhere and ended up dying
It's fucking rng that's why
@@bloodhunter2789 lol I ended up getting like halfway through the game and my save got corrupted, so I got fed up and just did my classic mode playthrough with cheats turned on
@@TarsXS I'm thinking I will try it after some failures
To save people some grief, for any like me who are playing this gem later than most people, if you are doing a Classic mode run, Please, Please, Please avoid the projector like the plague. I was fixing to do my first save on my run and Sebastian got stuck in the chair staring at the wall. So i get to restart my whole run due to a bug. And this was with having collected angel statues and pouches. By all means look at the projector on any other difficulty.
I beat the game on classic mode and I can’t choose the difficulty and I can’t see the save on new game plus do you know how to fix this bug?
