Such a beautiful song. Definitely going on my playlist. Beautiful clips, funny how in this video it is really noticeable the glances they gave one another. They really were attracted to each other. I actually loved their love story more than Fran and Maxwell. Although I loved all the characters these two were the reason I kept watching plus the writing was so witty. Dont seem to get writing like this anymore, everyone is too afraid of offending someone.
@kieghacat that is my favorite aspect, that she was so madly in love with hs best friend and he watched through the sidelines all those years. Sad they didn't express or dabble into that on the show. I'd love to see Niles jealous over her and Max once or twice. :p
I thought it was supposed to be that he was expressing that through all those cruel jabs at her. You could tell after a while that he was pining for her, but on the surface he was vicious. And sometimes he was pretty cruel to Max, too. I think a lot of his snarkiness in general was meant to be frustration about living in Max's shadow. He is obviously happier once he and CC are together (starting in "Yetta's Letters." And she is happier, too. She declares that she has never been so "satisfied," so it seems like a lot of her nastiness was just frustration because she...wasn't getting any. Niles and CC had been working together for years by the time of the pilot, so it's hard to tell whether he started acting mean to her because she was snobby and rejected him or whether she started acting haughty to protect herself FROM his jabs...I think we were supposed to believe the first one, though, because they seemed to want us to like Niles. And I'm actually not sure she was all that serious about Max, actually. She spent WAY more time on/with him than on Max. Did you ever notice how, when she seemed upset about Max not wanting her, doing anything with Niles, even if it was sparring, cheered her up. I also often thought that the real reason Niles so intensely wanted Max to make a commitment to Fran is that he wanted Max to be definitely unavailable for / to CC. He wanted to know that his best friend, as you say, didn't want the woman he wanted.
That must be the episode where they were snowed in. They stayed at Sylvia's place with the whole cast. Don't know what year and episode number. The Nanny is really super quality, every time I watch it again when it's on : ) Fran is a star, super.

In this scene Niles sneakes into what he believes to be CCs bedroom at the hotel
