"Great Review!!!"🤗🤗🤗 Mine came in the the mail last Wednesday I ordered from Hiby with the $200.00 my husband gave me from our income tax check. I used the $10.00 coupon from Hiby and I got my player for $239.00 I ordered the orange one. I just unboxed it on Sunday and I got to say man is that player really nice!!! I'm totally in love with it and they at Hiby did an very excellent job at everything the packaging from the packaging to the shipping itself. I just got to load some music on an SD card and try it out with the IEM's I got for Mother's Day last month!!! 🤗📻💿🎧❤️
I wanted Hiby precisely because it has MSEB and class A amp, R4 is cheap and got what I wanted. Only downside for me is that they do not include a charger
@@ThriftShopReviews I appreciate you. I purchased the orange one because it reminded me of the popular cd player from the 90s from Sony. A sports model I think.
Evangelion fixed all of the R4's shortcomings like excessive overheating & battery drain. Something was wrong with original R4, it should've gotten at least 15+ hours with a beefy 4500 mah battery. Evangelion is 40% more efficient without any noticeable performance loss, in fact it could be said it has better performance now. Evangelion looks sick IMO (not everybody is going to like it), and this is the perfect on-the-go beater DAP. Keep the fancy R6 Gen II PRO or R8 II babied at home, too bulky, precious, and expensive bring everywhere. I mean if you own an amazing car audio system, then I could see making a semi-permanent fixture in the car to greatly utilize and enhance the ultra high end vehicle audio system. Really it all boils down to R4 Evangelion vs R6 Gen III but I choose R4 Evangelion because it looks so much cooler and I'd rather buy an R6 PRO Gen II and keep it at home while I take the R4 Evangelion with me.
Nice, I had the exact same intention when picking up the Evangelion. The unique appearance sealed the deal but, the utility and performance for the price point makes it a great "beater" DAP to travel with and use in the car.
I have this R4. it is amazing. I hope Hiby helped you with the PEQ you are having. if not I have some firmwares for this. Including the newest beta that made the bluetooth sound even more amazing.
@@ThriftShopReviews really? Those are the only differences? I thought the R5 might be the better one due to its place in the lineup. If that's it I might as well get the R4.
Your not selling this well... already problems out the gate that are unacceptable... not having the ability to use PEQ because you updated to latest firmware..hmm... heating issues.... I guess you get what you pay for...

I have the RS6,had it for 2 yrs-love it!just bought the r4
I want to buy a DAP, and still doing some research on it, but definitely this is a contender.
Can you download Tidal songs for offline listening? I think this will be my first DAP! I'm new to the Hi-FI world!

Can you make a video of how you loaded the squiglink FR and used it for PEQ?

Is it possible to achieve line out through the 3.5 port with a software setting?

Por qué medio pasas el firmware
Did you try R4 with Sundara? If so, how it goes? Thanks a lot.
I run my IEM's on low gain at medium almost blow them up xD so yes it should have power for bigger cans
Pretty cool machine...
I'm contrmplating between this R4 and the R5 II. I am having a hard time picking to be honest.
@@orangeyellow-me1pz depends if you like a warm sound signature. R4 is warm sounding.

@@ThriftShopReviews not really, I would say its more likely towards neutral but MSEB can change the sound whatever you like
Well done…
