- With the 2017 World Darts Championship starting on Thursday, I thought I would give people a treat with a video on the ten biggest shocks from the sport of kings.
I know there's a lot of people expecting my 2017 upsets video soon, so while I get that edited to meet RUclips copyright consider this a nice holdover.

In my opinion, Barney over MVG in the 2016 Worlds is more of an upset than anything here, save maybe Deller-Bristow.
Barney over MVG may have been an upset... but a veteran beating a fellow top player at his prime is nowhere near as unexpected as unknown players beating established players IMO.
There's a lot of familiar faces delivering the upsets (e.g. Suljovic, Klaasen, Smith), which is pretty funny to see, but it can't be forgotten that those known faces were only starting to make their name at the time. Funny to see them delivering early upsets, when compared to those that remained unknown
Hendo-MvG WGP should be in, Steve West-MvG at the european championship should be in.

Agoston Daniel well in fairness he only started darts 12 months ago and to beat the world no.1 and to get the chance to face the greatest player ever in his last match is quite an upset
"he only started darts 12 months ago" lol tell me more.. He played this good all year, played amazing matches against MvG and the dutchman seemed vincible against Price and RvB as well, so it wasn't a big upset.
