Hannah, I finally got to show my mom some of your videos. She used to do ballet (never a professional, but very passionate and involved). These were some of the things she said while watching you.
"Look at that extension... She is perfect... How is anyone able to do that? That should be illegal... Look how vertical she is... [about the pas de deux practice] They are perfect together... She is what everyone WISHES they looked like... Yeah. Perfect. Just beautiful..." Hoped this would brighten your day as much as you brighten mine.

😊 love your RUclips stories: so real, friendly and human… like everybody else. You show how one can balance professional life as a ballet dancer and your “personal” life … like anybody. So nice to see you eat properly with “joyful” appetite what you prepare for yourself and have time for “spiritual” moments and be able to adjust to unforeseen circumstances making the most of them to reshape and be on top form again. I think it’s easier to “connect to your body” when it feels lean, beautiful, hard-working, flexible, strong, and capable. I think it’s even more special for someone without those qualities (i.e. the vast majority of the world’s population) to connect to one’s body nonetheless. It’s a mystery I am still chasing. For now, I see ballet dancers as super-humans. For me it’s a mystery how they love their body so much that they work it so hard.

Yikes, those shoes! I feel like you should send a clip to Josephine at The Pointe Shop. Also, the shoes you were wearing in your last coaching session - it was kind of hard to tell with the darning but it looks like you're not all the way over the box? Hopefully, you will have access to the right shoes when you come back!
Yes, those other shoes definitely did not work for me. They were too small and made my feet cramp and have pins and needles when wearing. They certainly will not be a regular shoe for me. It’s been such a nightmare!

Thank you so much! Sorry for the inconsistency with upload times. It’s been so busy I’ve not had the time to edit and get it up as usual.
I have 5 weeks of no work in the summer but I have a couple of performances that I’m keeping myself going a little for. I will still do a little training here and there but mainly focusing on resting and spending time with the family as well some travelling 😃

Love the video. Just a suggestion. I wouldn't purchase ballet shoes off ebay. They could possibly be substandard. When i saw what happened to your ballet shoe, i was horrified and felt very concerned. You could have seriously injured your foot and then been out of action for awhile. I wouldn't risk it Hannah, as we can clearly see how much you adore dancing.

I totally agree with you! I would never usually buy my freeds from eBay but I haven’t had my shoes for almost 4 weeks and it was getting dangerous to dance on dead shoes so I was in a really tricky position 🙈
@@HannahMartinRG I see, that's a tricky dilemma to be in. Just a suggestion, but maybe try another brand, just so you have a back up in these types of situations. I understand it's hard as you've found a particular ballet shoe that you like and feel confident to dance in. I pray and hope your ballet shoes are back in stock very soon.
Who's the shortest dancer in the company at the moment? I'm 1,60cm and I'm usually not considered for auditions which is sad

Does your company provide a set number of shoes or a shoe budget if you have to source your own? How does this work?
How many pointe shoes do you go through in an average week? I thought your company provided you with the shoes. Do you have to buy them yourself?
They normally do but they has been a bit of a supply and demand issue with Freed and I’ve been struggling to get a hold of them. Hence my desperate attempts to get some shoes. In an ideal world probably go through 1-2 pairs a week

@@HannahMartinRG I've been watching a youtube site The Pointe Shop. It seems there are a lot of brands of pointe shoes. Is Freed the only one that fits you? I am an adult beginner and I was fitted with Bloch 3XXX I have very wide feet and short toes.

I also have a question for you: how do you reconcile God's plan in your dancing life? Obviously, He has given you a wonderful talent and passion and it is your thing to please lovers of the art of ballet when you perform, but having sat in the professional world for a while, do you see another way to fulfil God's will and glorify Him through dance? I don't know! but I wonder how you see it.

Hey Hannah, I don’t know if you remembered me but I commented on your previous video and I just wanted to say that I finally got my back and leg flexibility back and I am preparing a surprise dance that I will perform in front of my sir. I haven’t met my sir for 2 years after breaking my back so I can’t wait to see how happy he will be ❤. Wish me luck and I am using some of your dances for my dance 😂.
