Never underestimate a small act of kindness. Over 12 years ago I was standing outside my car waiting for my mom and I was crying. After my mom brought me back to my car I found a note that said “I saw you crying earlier and just wanted you to know I was praying for you. God bless you and I hope everything is all better! God is love. :)” I have kept this note in my wallet ever since as a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference ♥️
I agree with James. Not all of these videos are recorded by those doing the act. It's good to remind us that there are good people in the world despite constant bad news.
Yeah I’m absolutely floored by the news and their in ability to show anything positive oh and of course the fact that they lie through their teeth about everything
I also agree with James, but I think I know what Millie means. While grace accrues to the person who did the kindness, it feels like it's somewhat nullified by the annoyance of a person who has to listen to his/her bragging about what a good person they are. Still, I feel like the more people share their random acts of kindness, the more other people are encouraged to discover for themselves how good it feels.
In bygone days if a neighbor was building a barn or house EVERYONE in the town helped. The wives brought food and it was actually fun. A few groups still do this. My Swedish ancestors did this but did get paid for public projects. Helping each other made the whole town a better place.
Maybe think about it this way, recording and posting to the world an act of kindness can be contagious and urge others to also perform acts of kindness 😊
Hello from Colorado USA! POSTING KINDNESS: Sometimes people post to encourage others to do random acts of kindness to more people so it keeps going... such as this video compilation. Thanks 🙏 for sharing it!
Hi, I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. 1969 Hurricane Camille bared down on my neighborhood and the family across the street from me started taking on flood waters. As a 6-year-old child I watched my grandfather, my father, my two uncles and another two neighbors link their arms to pull a family of 5 out of harm's way with winds at 150 miles per hour knocking them down into the flood waters and helping each other get back up to save them. I felt so proud, at 60 pounds pulling everyone into my arms. Not all heroes wear a cape, but I've surely watched them save lives! Love you guys!
Check out the channel That Was Epic. Juan frequently gives out money, cars, laptops, etc. to strangers. Yes they film it and it's usually done in funny ways for our amusement but at the end the people are so happy and almost always OK with it being filmed. Edit: 7:28 Juan does this exact thing all the time.
These acts of kindness gives me hope. Seems like the whole world is going to help in a hand basket. But there are always those few that see n do the good thing. The world could use more of his. Nice react from you both. God bless you two
I agree with and understand your moral view on the why and how of giving. I also feel that those who video their acts regardless of the reason draw attention to the need to help and care for one another. In some ways those who only do it for attention need props because it may not be something that comes easy. By getting the attention it could reinforce a positive view for them to continue to do so in the future. Maybe even turn them toward being the person who helps others just because.
To add onto this. Who cares if they are doing it for recognition? It still means the world to those that receive it. I've seen people complain about a housing giveaway because it was mostly done for good PR for a company. The homeless family that got the house didn't care why it was being done. They were just happy they were no longer living on the streets.
There seems to be so much bad news in the world that it's a wonderful encouragement to see good news of people helping each other. I agree that we should be about doing it for kindness and not for people's recognition, but it's just great to see it.
9:15. My father leaves a bottle of water in his mailbox every day for the mailman. I never realized he did until I stayed with him a couple of months ago. He has done it daily for over 40 years. I was stunned--hahaha.
When I was a kid (1969) my father fell in love with sailing and decided to share his new love with his family. So he took all 5 of us kids and my mother out for a 3 day trip down the coast of California. Unfortunately everyone except my mom and myself got sea sick and so my mother who knew absolutely nothing about sailing at that time (she learned later) was stuck driving the boat. There was some communication errors between my parents as my father started using sailing terms my mother did not know and we ran into a coral reef near Santa Cruz CA about 100 yards from shore. The boat was sinking. Suddenly, we had this wave of beach goers and surfers coming from shore out to our boat. Next thing I know there is a human chain going from shore to the boat and these wonderful people got all 7 of us off the boat and back to shore. Then they tied a rope (a line for you sailors out there) to the bow of the boat and took the other end back to shore and everyone on that beach start pulling on that rope to get the boat as close to shore as they could. My father had rented that boat from a local marina and I do not know what they charged him for the accident, but if he had had to replace the entire boat, I assure you it would have been far more expensive. That was 53 years ago (I was 5 at the time) and I still remember that day.
You guys are so cute! My husband saved a man’s life once. A guy was driving erratically and pulled into a gas station. My husband tried taking to him. He recognized symptoms of low sugar. In some countries of South America, at least here in Argentina we always clap when we found a lost child in the beach or some other big areas. Is very useful because the parents that lost the child known they would heard a claps and will know where to go to find their kid.
Wow James what a great explanation of it not mattering why a random act of kindness was done, as the results are the same. Yet, I lean towards Millie's point that it isn't really an "act of random kindness" if you are doing it to only make yourself look good.
In an ever increasing world of hate and violence, if you cannnot find kindness then be kindness. Break the system; get out of your comfort zone and love on those who may never have known what love from others really is.
The point of shaving your hair is to show support, and that you'll stand next to them no matter what. That you'll go bald with them and look weird not because you look good or bad, but because it means "I stand in solidarity with you, and I'll go through the weird looks from others with you. I'll support you when you feel too sick and are vomiting all night from the chemo, and I'll grow my hair back with you only once you've recovered because I love you" these are just a few of the meanings behind it. I've been my whole life with someone close having cancer, so this is one of the most selfless things you can do. To give up your looks alongside your significant other, not because it looks better or worse, but because that person is more important than the hair on your own head.
Millie. I used to agree. It’s better to do it quietly. And that is still fine. But this is the world we live in now. And kindness is contagious. So maybe some kids see it. Feel good and think maybe I want to do that instead of recording myself dancing all day. Plus people like you can use your platform to spread it around. Make money of it to give money or something Dave. Cleveland Ohio
There are reasons for taping an act of kindness. My dog is an agility dog. During the pandemic dog training places could hold their classes, or do trials to make money (like so many businesses). Those of us who could bought auction items, made cash donations, some peoples made donations for an owner/dog team earn a title (that’s how my dog earned two trick titles), etc. Most collections and auctions were done in secret to surprise the club, and the donated money was given to the board of the club. We couldn’t gather to watch (again, pandemic) but we wanted to see the gift given, so one of the people taped the gift giving. When posted, they weren’t posted on public sites. I imagine that $1,000 gift was not given by one or two people in the car.
I understand what you’re saying regarding a person recording his or her good deeds but I don’t think the majority are doing it for selfish reasons. I think they are motivating others to do the same, they are in fact helping people (video or not). Even if it’s a RUclipsr bing monetized they will earn more money to help others in need. I’d much rather watch these videos rather than the horrific news that’s on everyday.
Posting Acts of kindness even if for their own self vanity, if the effect inspires even one of us voyeurs to be inspired with hope and encouraged in kindness and moved to add to the love in this world...then we may count each as a great victory ✌
It’s better to do than to not recording or not maybe this will inspire some people to do the same and that is enough. If those people aren’t being genuine than may karma come their way.
i think the intention is what matters. if you record to show off how cool and generous you are, thats not as good (still better than not doing it). if the intention is to share the awareness and potentially others to follow their examples, it is more effective to have it recorded and shared online
I think staging it isn’t as good. But recording it is favorable. It spreads it around and inspires people and if it just inspires one person that makes a chain reaction!
It's 2022 you will be filmed whether it's a kind act or not. Between the camera's and phones unless you're alone with someone it's probably going to get recorded. That in no way should stop acts of kindness.
Bad news about the shooting at the concert in Las Vegas, it wasn't just one guy shooting people. There's video evidence of a shooter 2 rooms to the left of the shooter, and there were 2 helicopters above the building and shots were coming from them too. 😳 Also 4 people on the ground were seeing men in black shooting into the crowd from the street. When those people started telling their story to the press, they haven't been heard from since then. 😕
I have to agree with Millie about the act not being "pure" if you're doing it to post or get a pat on the back. I also see Beesley's point about that still being better than not doing anything at all.. But it's not really the same.
I don’t know, it depends on intention, which is hard to measure. If you’re doing an act of kindness and challenging others to do the same, then I think it’s a great thing. Look at the ALS challenge that went completely viral and made so much money for ALS several years ago.
I definitely agree with the whole doing "kindness" for clout thing being a bit selfish, but I do recognize each other's arguments. Is it really an act of kindness if you're getting something out of it? On the other hand...the person in need winds up getting some help so in the end both sides benefit. I guess I'm just more of a fan of people who do true random acts without seeking anything from it other than making sure the other person is ok. They don't even have to be anything huge like giving people a ton of money. You can do something very small to help someone out which can show you're a decent person. It's not the size of the act...it's choosing to act in the first place.
My dad gives blood every 3months, I always wanted to donate but my first time when my blood was tested they found I was anemic and have been banned from every blood donation center

I think they are motivating others to do the same, they are in fact helping people (video or not). Even if it’s a RUclipsr bing monetized they will earn more money to help others in need. I’d much rather watch these videos rather than the horrific news that’s on everyday.
I agree with her that it is better to do something just because you want to be kind and not because you want a pat on the back.
I enjoyed that video
Posting Acts of kindness even if for their own self vanity, if the effect inspires even one of us voyeurs to be inspired with hope and encouraged in kindness and moved to add to the love in this world...then we may count each as a great victory ✌
Millie has grown up a lot since this video, honestly. 🤷♀️🤘😊
It’s better to do than to not recording or not maybe this will inspire some people to do the same and that is enough. If those people aren’t being genuine than may karma come their way.
People, use landscape on your phones.
The kid locked in the car had also eaten sunscreen if I remember correctly.
i think the intention is what matters. if you record to show off how cool and generous you are, thats not as good (still better than not doing it). if the intention is to share the awareness and potentially others to follow their examples, it is more effective to have it recorded and shared online
You should watch the tv show called Random Acts , on the BYU channel from Utah , it inspires people to help others
Why random acts when you should just be a good human being ✌️
Your guys " hair dialogue was hilarious 😂
I think staging it isn’t as good. But recording it is favorable. It spreads it around and inspires people and if it just inspires one person that makes a chain reaction!
Maybe they are recording them doing Kindness and helping other people to Inspire other people to do the same
amazing
It's 2022 you will be filmed whether it's a kind act or not. Between the camera's and phones unless you're alone with someone it's probably going to get recorded. That in no way should stop acts of kindness.
Here to see if Millie wells up a little
Stones don't cry.
Bad news about the shooting at the concert in Las Vegas, it wasn't just one guy shooting people. There's video evidence of a shooter 2 rooms to the left of the shooter, and there were 2 helicopters above the building and shots were coming from them too. 😳
Also 4 people on the ground were seeing men in black shooting into the crowd from the street. When those people started telling their story to the press, they haven't been heard from since then. 😕
I still couldn't figure out what the suitcase one was.
I have to agree with Millie about the act not being "pure" if you're doing it to post or get a pat on the back.
I also see Beesley's point about that still being better than not doing anything at all.. But it's not really the same.
half-heartedly watching this. i kinda wanna be in a bad mood, you know how it is.
Hey y'all 🤗
I don’t know, it depends on intention, which is hard to measure. If you’re doing an act of kindness and challenging others to do the same, then I think it’s a great thing. Look at the ALS challenge that went completely viral and made so much money for ALS several years ago.
Some of those were staged, but some were so genuine....
Millie's a very tough nut to crack.... She wants the proof it wasn't a set up LOL
If recording it provides the giver $$$ to give away, then it's worth it.
Nice
Beautiful 😍
My dad gives blood every 3months, I always wanted to donate but my first time when my blood was tested they found I was anemic and have been banned from every blood donation center
I worked for Russell Athletic back in the late 90’s. They’re based in Alexander City Alabama. Don’t go there… it’s a dump.😆
❤️🙂❤️
The most basic type of leaning is to model behavior. These altruistic acts show us that we, too, can be kind and give to others.
If you record it for a post. Is it random?
