He did not know Japanese, but through his hard work and intelligence, be is now extremely fluent in Japanese, and a lot of people thought he's Japanese? JungMin writes songs, in both Korean & Japanese.
Totally agree with you. Out of all k-pop idols he's the one that I like and respect the most, his sexual orientation is not important. I as a fan will be happy as long as I can hear his amazing voice, see his happiness and unfading, bright smile.

Honestly I have no idea but it's common practice in Korean shows and concert f.ex. when idol or idol group present his new album in music shows like Music Bank he/she/they sing down tempo song using microphones (with headset on) and upbeat song using only headset to have free hands. I'm clueless about electronic staff and music but perhaps there's a difference in sound quality... You've infected me with curiosity - that's really good question. :/
