Wow! Briliant idea! Amazing outcome! I believe I'm not the only one who wants to have one in hand understander it wouldb difficult to make it in the real world, as it's so complex, how about make a VR version of it?
Mostly Blender. There is some Marvelous Designer for clothing simulation and some houdini to make it easier to merge all the different frames of animation. But on most projects Blender is where I spend 90% of the time.
