Your rope perches look very frayed. That usually means that they are chewing on them and it can actually cause impaction if the fibres are swallowed or can get caught on her foot and lose circulation. Please take them out or if she is not chewing on them change them as soon as possible. I have my own conure and I am just looking out for a fellow bird owner :) I know you probably don’t want feed back but foraging toys are also very good for them. Over all your cage looks very fun for pearl!
Hey, this is a nice set up! This helped a lot I'm planning to get a cockatiel! But what I noticed is that Pearl's rope perches looked frayed, she might have chewed and swallowed strands of the rope perch , which can cause problems. You have to watch closely and discard the perch when it gets stringy.
I really recommend a flight cage for both of your birds. Both of those cages are a bit too small. I have a flight cage for my cockatiel and she loves it. Also, having a big cage has so many physical, mental and behavioural benefits for your birds
I had seen the video where Kevin put this cage together . I had asked about maybe doing a video on this cage as I was planning to purchase this cage myself. I went ahead an purchases it and I love it. I bought both the top cage and bottom. I placed my Cockatiel Scooter in the bottom then my pair of Gouldian Finches on the top.
Since you guys put toys on the bottom of the cage and in previous videos you say that pearl likes to go on the bottom of the cage, you should use paper at the bottom so pearl doesn’t accidentally break her leg. (Just a friendly tip)
Hey I love your videos I have cockatiel and I notice your cockatiel broke his tail feathers and I have same problem now how many months took your bird to grow his tail feather back please give me answer Thank you
Great you should watch a channel called Elle and the birds there a great channel and tells you everything about taming trains birds and their diet her channel is great and bird tricks is a great channel too
I was looking for a videos on what was best for a Cockatiel and what cage so helpful for what I need also I know it’s ok to have a cockatiel and budgie but how long does it take for them to get along with each other my budgie is really playful I’m not sure if that helps the process go faster
Lovely video, but some of those rope perches look like they really need to be replaced. I am unsure if the damage to them is from chewing or washing, but those loose ends are not safe. Little threads can catch a nail or toe and break them. If Pearl really likes to chew them up, you may want to look for replacements for inside his cage. Rope perches, if birds like to rip them apart, pose a risk of crop impaction as they are unfortunately made out of materials a bird cannot digest. Outside of the cage it is easier to deterr them from eating them, as you'll be watching them more. Inside the cage, however, there are more times you won't be there like at night or if you need to leave the house, and thats when they will take advantage. Id hate to see Pearl or Pillow get hurt on them. I remember how shaken you all were by Pearl's broken blood feather. I love rope perches myself, as do my birds, but they take a lot of work to keep safe. I'm frequently trimming off any parts that are being pulled out and always on alert to see if they're too interested in eating them. Once that happens they will be removed.
can you guys post some more videos and i am getting a cockatiel soon my mo let me to have one and i love your videos and please post some more and i really like you birds and please post some more i really wanna see some more videos so i wanna see some more bird videos and how do take care more of yoir cockatuel please notice me
You guys should ger more spreadable and foraging toys like with paper and cardboard cockatiels don't really tend to play with plastic or rubber toys or most birds in jeneral

Pearl and Pillow are lucky birds. They have good size cages and many great toys to enrich their lives. I enjoyed the tour of Pearl's cage. ❤🦜

Get one and one :)
Great you should watch a channel called Elle and the birds there a great channel and tells you everything about taming trains birds and their diet her channel is great and bird tricks is a great channel too
The birds can chew on the rope perches and if they swallow it, it could be fatal so just be aware of that.

Hi! I want to know, is there a day of the week when you post?
You post often, is there a day of the week you usually post on?
My dumb birds - We usually post on Sunday mornings. 😊
do cockatiels and parakeets get alone well
I know you carved the dowel perches but you should add more natural perches
How did you cut the dowel perches to have texture like that?
Scrap it with a knife
Are all the birds from petsmart or Petco?
