Take 3-4 days combining both the places. You can visit Ooty Lake, Pykara Lake, Botanical garden in Ooty. Plan to take toy train from Ooty to Conoor and take local taxi for Conoor sightseeing.

At the same time you can travel to Wayanad Kerala from Bandipur it is only 40 km muthanga forest.tea coffee gardens, spices lakes ,waterfalls ,wildlife .

Great video indeed. Can see the lots of change since had we visited here in 2010. We had travelled from Mysore to Ooty in the night through Mudumali Sanctuary and Nilgiri ghat. Herd of Elephants crossed the road before us twice. Was quite thrilling experience.👍

Don't go via Kalhatty as roads are narrow with 36 hairpin bends. Plan to go via Gudalur and no need to worry about ghat section. Roads are wide and makes drive easier.

Don’t take ring road. Take the road from Hebbal-Yeshwantpur-Nice Road-Mysuru Expressway. In any case try to cross Bangalore early morning.

Overall road condition is fine. Lot of construction on Mysuru Road and will you not get complete 4 lane.

No such restriction for Karnataka registered vehicle. They do collect ₹30-50 as green tax while entering Mudumalai.
