This was an era where session musicians were never credited on albums; it was the best idea possible to at least try being visible with the Beatles.
Bollocks. It was meant that way. He even wore Ringo's suits.
@@jamescarter3196 I don't agree with the conclusion, ie. that Nicol was right to accept the visibility, but you make good points in your argument about this being a chance for a session musician to advance his career. Thanks for the response!
Jimmie had the worst haircut ever.
Sad??? Mr. Nicol, as is Mr. Sutcliffe, as is Mr. Best, as is Mr. Preston (outside of his own right), and on and on, are in the history books. Much more than you, or I, not contributing much of anything, to any kind of history! Sure wish I could be equally ‘sad’, as Mr. Nicol.
sekkund
I wonder if they used condoms back then in brothels?
Yes
Apparently there’s lots and lots of Beatle kids around
They should have got pete best to fill in
That would have been awkward
He couldn’t play, he was a poor drummer.
Pete Best has his own group the Pete Best Four. They had little success but two of his band mates, Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington wrote Sugar Baby Love for the Rubettes. So you see, talent does find a way if you have it.
@@KebabMusicLtd They released an album " Best of The Beatles "
that wouldn't have been the best idea...
This is just the the official narrative . Jimmy Nichols more than likely was one of the four studio drummers who played on the Beatles records from 62 to 66 and beyond. I’d say he may have made a tidy sum from Beatles Inc.
Always an IDIOT in every comment section.
There’s always some idiot on a Beatles comments sections spouting some stupid theory… “Paul is dead” this, “Ringo didn’t actually play” that… Just enjoy the music.
@@StationSquare. totally agree
Bernard Purdie....is that you???
Jimmie Nicol should have been replaced with Pete Best.
All you Aussies that were served a knockoff of Ringo should SUE!
Brian Epstein’s surname rhymes with ‘mine‘ not ‘mean’.
What do you mean?
This guy actually thought he was a Beatle. 😂😂😂 It takes more than playing eight gigs over two weeks because a guy was sick to be a band member.
I'm wondering if Jimmy Nichols gave Epstein the idea to simply replace Paul with Billy after his car accident. Why stop THAT show?
Sad History. How many musicians can say "I was a Beatle!" He knew it was only going to be temporary.
