Simiran briefly touched on a great point about associating happy memories around the dinner table, with steaks, barbecues, and roasts. And perhaps this factor plays into why there is a disconnect from animals, and why people don't see the truth of it, and reject being vegan? If slaughterhouses had glass windows, everyone would go vegan 🌱
Hi Simran, What is the vegan cream that is used? Is it mostly used in India? If I order a pastry in India chances are that it will be vegan due to the lack of dairy in the cream?
Jay Murthy Hey Jay, Coconut cream is the non dairy cream that I use. A lot of vegan bakers use the same and there are some new variants of Amul cream which are also dairy free. The most commonly used whipped cream is also non-dairy. But even so it's best to check if you are buying from a commercial bakery.
Thanks Simran. I had a craving for frozen yogurt/ice cream. Your video stopped me from going that route. Luckily in the US where I live there are many alternatives. I am looking for a vegan gelato place near my office as we speak :)
The concept of karma is ingrained into the Indian culture. Compassion naturally follows. It is in the most ancient texts going back to possibly 6000 years.
The real issue is that I personally can't afford $5 for one half gallon of plant milk vs $3.50 for cow milk. It's outrageous to try and stick to a vegan diet. ... Sad but true 😳😬🥺🤔
Yes that's also true. You need to change your mindset towards thinking how to live compassionately. And how to focus on the world around you rather than just one's taste buds or immediate gratification.
