In this new tutorial by flomotion I am going to show you how you can use "Wonder Dynamics" to motion capture, animate, and composite CG characters.
Wonder Dynamics is part of Wonder Studio.

What is wonder dynamics?
An AI tool that automatically animates, lights and composes CG characters into a live-action scene.
The system automatically detects the actor’s performance based on single-camera footage. Then, it takes that performance and transfers it to the CG character of your choice - automatically animated, lit, and composed.

Okay this is also useful for other things like remove background. Wonder Studio can export Alpha Mask, and it can also be used to remove the background from our object, especially in Blender! :D

Looks interesting. Few questions:
1.) What about importing own Videomaterial?
2.) For the Camera, is Apple Truedepht Technology mandatory?
2.) What about importing own Meshes and rigged Characters?
3.) What about importing of own Animation files like *.fbx or *.bvh?
4.) What about compability with 3D Software like Lightwave, DAZ Studio, UnrealEngine etc?
I tried out a test a few months ago... the mocap copied down to joints and I imported the janky animation into maya. Had to constrain the joints to my rig. Then bake, then import into unreal. Looking to try this again because the results look much more clean in thus video. Still need to mod a lot of weight, hands, face, etc to get a good result. This stuff is great for blocking though!
1. you only import your own video material! 2. obsulutely NOT! 3. totally doable! 4. you get a blender scene file! So the sky is the limit!

Nope!! I qm currwntly making a tutorial on that topic!
Before ai made it easy for anyone to use premade 3D characters, I created my own characters, building them, creating texture maps, rigging and animating them frame by frame. I even made a character who looks like me. It's way too easy now for anyone to do it. While itsnice to have something already pre-made at our fingertips for a time saver, I still don't consider it creating the art ourselves.
Got you!! Also made my own character and I am super curious when we can use those in wonder dynamics. I would say: more time for creativity!!
@flomotion I don't know if you heard of Jesse Wellens, who started his youtube career with his girlfriend "Jeana" (not her real name) with their Prank vs Prank channel. He announced yesterday that he's starting a podcast using his own custom-made character that looks like him. He's still in the experimental stage of it because there are a few hiccups in the program they're still working out.
I have a question, do i need to design a 3d model of my own style to add into the software to implement it in the video? incase I want a personalized character?
You can but you don't have to!!

Hey! This is because it captures the movement only not it's depth position if the footage doesn't allow for that... For example if you do not see the character in total...

Can you film something in front of it? For example, animation, as is the character is eating food ?
It is masking out FG objects on its own, but stuff in hands is a bit tricky. But you can adjust all if that in blender!!

First question: How to render correctly so that my credits are calculated for ai mocap and not live action, because I don't want to lose my 750 seconds with live action.

hey, I dont think so! A 10 second clip takes about 30mins to calculate, depending on what is in the shot... so no real time yet

What do you mean? All the steps on their own could be done, but not with the power of AI yet. Also the characters may be better animated in a proper 3D program.
do you know how to mocap a character taking off his helmet and putting on his helmet?
Yes, I know, but you will not like it... The answer is keyframe animation... But you could use a version without helmet as base

Yeah its a gimmick, you cant even try to see how good it does before a subscription plan pops up.
haha... well, it is a super advanced programm. The had a free beta version out there to make it perfect and even better! Now that phase is over and the same rules apply as they always do: If you want something cool, it comes with a cost

well that is something one can not explain in a single comment! But there are hundreds of tutorials on youtube!! You will find out for sure!!

Well, you have to consider that this is a professional software. Lets say an average shot for a professional movie is about 1-2 seconds long! That means you could do 70-80 shots with this! Also lets say, an average shot cost for stuff like this is inbetween 250 and 500$. So you could potentially earn 17.5k and 40k with this. And you only pay 18$ per month... honestly: I have never seen anything cheaper that does the same!
