I like the fact that Korg still has the type of sequencer I am used to , very similar to the one I have on my old Korg T3 and Yamaha Motif 6. I like to work a lot of tracks out on the sequencer before going to the computer for vocals and additional tracks.
It's quite rad. The trend seems to be now to separate your chorus, bridge, verses, etc., I to separate loops. That can be advantageous in certain situations.
Thanks a lot for this outstanding presentation/review. I just got mine today and I thought it was a defective unit but after I saw you playing around those buttons I realize there’s nothing wrong with my unit . Thanks a lot!
Thank you for your review. My English is not very good. I'll try. I found out from comments the keyboard is quite similar to an acoustic piano. It's very important. It's glad for me. And what about sound? I mean piano sound. What do you think the piano sound of Korg Kross 2-88 is quite similar to an acoustic piano? Is it maximum approximately to an acoustic piano? I try to find models of digital pianos that their sound correspond with a sound of an acoustic piano approximately. Maybe you know more another such models of digital pianos. Not only Korg. I'll be glad to your reply.
I am terrible with replying. I would say this keyboard is not the most accurate with piano sounds as others, depends on your budget. Did you end up purchasing?
Hi Joyce I’m interested in the 61 keys version of this keyboard. I know the smaller version doesn’t have weighted keys and I personally don’t mind that. Did you happen to try it? If so does it have a good quality key bed ? Thanks for the interesting review by the way.
guitarra74 hello! Thanks for watching. No I haven’t tried that one but it depends what you’re after. For pianists transitioning to keyboards, a little bit of weight is always desirable. Personal preference 👍🏼
I picked up the Kross 2 61 the other day because I already have a Roland RD88 for weighted keys. The 61 note unweighted action isn't the best but it's also not the worst I've ever played and is perfectly acceptable for a keyboard in its price range.
Hey thx for the review. Is it possible to somehow export the individual tracks of a sequence to better edit them on your computer. Maybe by muting the other channels when exporting to audio?
DCT Master you can definitely import your sequence but I haven’t found a way to do it without having to import it as a whole track. If that makes sense? Otherwise yes muting the other channels and then exporting would work 👍🏼
you use it with what model of speaker ? i like make my own sound preset, make sound design and save it as a user preset, this is possible with this kross ? could you make a demo video turorial ?
exakaume I’m using my audio interface as the speaker so it’s MIDI. Yes you can do all of that, but you can only set them as favourites rather than presets, hope that helps!
This synthesizer has a usb audio interface and I want to know if using an Apple lightning cable (via camera connection kit adapter), in addition to controlling an ios synth app via midi, I can input digital audio over the same cable , and adjust its volume from the Kross2 and mix it with Kross2 sounds to listen to them together, just like the Numa Compact does. ( And if you have not tried what I describe with an IOS device, tell me if you did it with Windows ) Thanks you!!
Hello Joyce! Thank you very much for the video. Are you still enjoying it? I wanted to buy a Korg Krome cos of it’s huge touchscreen. But i saw so many negative reviews about it. A lot of KROSS 2 owners say that is a fantastic synthesizer-workstation in this price range (maybe better dan Krome). Would you like to tell me about the pros and cons that you have experienced with your Kross, please? Thanx
Hi! Thanks for watching. It is fantastic! Great on board sounds and it’s super light compared to other models. Cons - the biggest con is not being able to programme a live set or set of sounds. Depending on what you’re using it for - it’s super great :)
Joyce Chahine - Pianist Joyce Chahine - Pianist Hi dear! Thanks for reply... That is of course a semi-professional keyboard. I need it for playing piano ( key-action and keybed are so important to me) also I’m gonna to use it for the sound-making and song writing(but not at a very professional level) and not going to use it for the live performance. I know that it has drum and vocoder sampler, but can it also read the samples made by other Korgs? I mean the Oriental sampled sounds. Thanks 👍
Mehdi Hamedian yes it can! And for your use this definitely sounds like the right purchase. The key action is very nice and heavy and feels quite similar to an acoustic piano. Let me know how you go!
Omg I was shook at you playing ‘My All’. Queen. Love this demo. Would this be a good choice for a Logic Pro MIDI keyboard? Can you export your tracks to Logic Pro?
@@joycechahinepiano Your computer has more volume than mine. I connected a Keystation88 workstation to my computer with volume on max and it is sad. So right this second I am on Zzspunds buying a 20 watt keyboard amplifier. Seriously. Selling an instrument that makes no sound makes no sense. I think every instrument should come with at least a small amplifier and a proper case. Sorry for the rant. I was going to buy this key board you have. Anyway have a fantastic day. My practice awaits.

This RUclips video was fabulous. I will buy one of these Korg Kross 2 88 pianos because of your presentation and use of the instrument.

Does the track that created support live chord performance? I mean like arranger keyboard.
Thank you

Daniel Savoy I have only tried connecting an iPad to the keyboard to try and record midi and it worked ok!
This is a great review.
RussianCommissar thank you kindly. Glad you benefitted from it

Is the keys weighted?
Ho Ya yep! They feel really great to play.
This or studiologic numa compact?
This, definitely
How did you get Nylon guitar + pad, I am not able to find
Alok kumar Gupta go into your combo mode, I think I made this one myself. Start on nylon guitar and then click on combo to write a new one ☝️

Thank you so much Im blushing. Hmm I've used it with Ableton but I don't see why you can't use Logic Pro for sure.
Has it got metronome, and weighted keys
deeconfrost yes and yes!
I've heard the keys feel horrible? Is this true? How does it feel to play? Will a
piano player dislike it? Thanks!
I’m so sorry for the late reply - I’m a pianist as well and I love the feel. Definitely weighted. But not as good as Roland or yamaha Keyboard’s!
Thanks, Joyce! Bless you!
Does it have swing to give the beat more natural bounce
Yes, it should be able to!
Fantastic 💫
