Thanks for video even though this is from 2 years ago I had always wonder how to “color” the stamps now I know! You do such nice shading with your markers!
Hi thanks a lot for showing ur haul. I m very new to stamping. I just collected some stamps from clearance ( the stamps which came with magazines as a gift) they are sooo hard to peel of from their backing sheet. Once I pulled them off they dont stick back to backing sheet. I m so annoyed even I ripped off one thin border stamp during pulling. Plz tell the right way. If i am doing something wrong or my stamp set is old or what? Thanx a lot 🙏
Oh I can understand you. I had that problem too. The thing is, most of the stamps that came with a magazine are not a very high quality stamps. You have to be careful to pull them off, I don't know any other ways for this problem. And if it don't stick anymore. try to wash them with liquid hand soap and water and try not to touch the sticky side too much. Mostly it works sometimes it's not. and don't store them in a hot temperature place in the summer time. I hope this helps.
munirbilla Do you mean on the finished resin block? I think it could work. But it should be a clear resin block. Because the purpose of the clear stamp is, so that we could see where exactly we want to put the image on. It makes easier to place the stamp if we could see through it. But it’s all up to you.
The markers I used in this video are water based markers. They only work best on watercolour papers and I used a thick watercolor paper, so it didn't bleed through. The stamp ink I used is water proof ink so it didn't smear either.
Maimona Khatun No, there‘s no glue on the back and you don’t have to put glue on it either. It made out of some kind of silicons. So it will stick just so if you peel it off from the packaging. You have to wash the stamp with water and liquid hand soap if it won’t stick anymore. It‘s best if you wash them everytime after you use it. It will last for a very long time.
It depends on what you want to do with your stamp image. If you want to use it as a die cut, you should use a thicker paper, for example 190 g/m2 drawing paper. No need to buy the expensive one for this. This paper is suitable for coloured pencils or alcohol based markers to colour them in. If you want to colour them in with watercolours or water based markers, you should use a watercolour paper in the same thickness. I usually use the watercolour paper because I love using water based markers to colour them in. I won't recomend the alcohol based markers for a beginer. They bleed through and not so easy to use. You might ruin your paper with them. hope this helps.
I have clear stamps of the alphabet, but they come in strips where they are joined together. Am I supposed to cut the letters apart or is there another way to use them? Btw I really like how you explained everything with detail for beginners 😁
I used them for all kinds of projects like planning, journaling, scrapbooking, card making and all other's papercrafting projects. You can see all the example on my instagram: instagram.com/tantikcreation/ And here are a few blog posts about how I used them: www.cocoadaisy.com/blog/everyday/751369/april-stamping-fun/ www.cocoadaisy.com/blog/everyday/411132/april-stamping-inspirations-video/ www.cocoadaisy.com/blog/everyday/358541/october-stamping-fun-basic-stamping-video/
Instead of the eraser it's easier and less messy to just ink the stamp with versamark ink before you use the dye ink. You don't really need to do anything to the stamp if you're using pigment or stazon inks.
Thank you so much. That's also a good idea. But I found that I can get a better result with rubbing the stamp with an eraser first and it is not messy at all. Because you're not erasing anything but just rubbing it gently. Besides, I just want to encourage people to just use what they already have and not buying an extra versa ink to start stamping if they don't have that at home. But Thanks again.
jules bausch Do you mean the stamping tool that looks like a book?. The one I have is not available anymore. But the other brand called Misti stamping tool. But it‘s very expensive. You don’t have to buy that tool to stamp though. The acrylic block works also wonderful.
Riah Pillai I don’t think so. The stamp has to stick on a smooth surface and it works best on acrylic block. Otherwise it would always fall off while you‘re stamping. Besides, the purpose of a clear stamp is that you can easily see where you stamp your image on and the clear acrylic block is the best thing for this purpose.💜
This is very helpful and simple for someone who has zero knowledge about how to use stamps. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your feedback. I’m so glad that this is useful for you. 💜💜

@@Fairy.atiq22 It's my pleasure.
I love how that little bunny turned out, what kind of markers are those? I would like to purchase them, the colors are so vibrant.
Those are the ZIG real brush markers. They are water based markers, so they work best on watercolour papers.

What kind of markers did you use and did the bleed or smear the Ink?
The markers I used in this video are water based markers. They only work best on watercolour papers and I used a thick watercolor paper, so it didn't bleed through. The stamp ink I used is water proof ink so it didn't smear either.
I just ordered new stamps but I think they’re bigger. Would it still work if my block is smaller then the stamp?
If the outline of the image still fit in the block, it will work. if not you have to buy the bigger acrylic block to make a perfect image.
@@tantikcreation thanks :)
@@DesolateAura You're welcome.
What are you using to color the images once they are stamped please
In this video I used the water based markers from the brand ZIG clean color real brush. The markers work best on a watercolour papers.
How does it stick to the block? With glue? Won’t the glue loose it’s stickiness after a while???

What type of paper should we use for this? And best type of paper according to you?
