we cook a lot of ours in the crockpot like this ,beaver has become my favorite wild meat . try grinding a 80/20 grind with bacon ends and pieces ,beaver makes fantastic burgers also .i do add some bread crumbs as a binder and it tastes better than beef.
The beaver I've been eating costs me alot of money😂
How?because the bullets or traps costing more than the beaver you’re killing.
Love watching meat trapper you and him and Stu at coon Creek and Andrew the Wild North are the guys that got me into trapping years ago I eat all the beaver I harvest really enjoy meat trappers recipe for beaver burgers!
Those are some of my favorite channels and they got me more involved with trapping
Good tip on getting the glands out. Beaver meat is great, but don't forget muskrat too. I like my beaver with BBQ sauce best with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Great catch and cook.
"Keep your hands on your stick boys"
"You don't want to eat your beaver when it's too rare" Well said.
The whole time cleaning it, singing "A Country Boy Can Survive"👍🤟
My largest Beaver was a snare catch outside the city limits of Alexandria Minnesota back in the winter of 98/99 that Beaver weighed in at 75 lb. When I butchered that up to make it all into jerky I found a 22 bullet head flat against the leg bone, that just tells you how tough animals in Minnesota can be. Also caught a gray squirrel in a trap that also had a 22 bullet in it and it will still alive yes Minnesota has some tough Critters. And yes those glands are very important as you say I remove them when I cook woodchuck too not to mention muskrat.
I had my doubts, but being willing to try anything once, I caught and cooked a Beaver a few years ago... to say I was surprised/ amazed at the taste is an understatement! Many compare beaver meat to pot roast, I don't think a cow comes close :)
Probably one of the best of game meat period
You are areal pro at making videos. I have seen probably all of your videos and find them extremely entertaining. Wish we had more beaver where I live in Connecticut,I would try my hand at trapping them.just too many people around here.
I do mine by boiling for 30 minutes on rolling boil then fry until brown in bacon grease. Delicious and have roasted in the oven and made soup with left overs. So good
Another Great video!!! Nice beaver catch!!! Your the beaver master!!
Beaver is awesome! I can all of mine, got 120 quarts on the shelf! Who needs to buy meat! The virus don’t change my eating habits!👍
You have a doppelgänger out there running around. Goes by the name: Matt Best.
Yesssss!!!!! A catch and cook on a beaver! 🤟🤟
Been cookin the beaver i have caught this year. Quickly becoming a favorite food around my house even with kids who are finicky eaters
Man I've got to get some somewhere. Everybody says it's so good. Great live by the way. Awesome video brother
My Buddy Dave and me done that years ago in a old oven he had in the garage. Made it in a big old blue roaster pan with onions and garlic. Salt and pepper. Go check our trapline. Back in 8 hours. Eat it for supper and start skinning critters. Good stuff almost like roast beef. Get all fat and veins out. Yummmy!! 👍 Jeff :)
Looks amazing thanks for another great video

Definitely more than survival food, i generally have some in my freezer on a regular basis. Try grinding all the meat and making chili.....its great.

Great video do you need to worry about giadia ? Sure I spelled that wrong like intestines touching meat
Good job sir, looks delicious
Looks Delicious, I have had it once in like a BBQ Pulled.
I guess I can say I like to eat beaver too thanks keep them coming
It sure does look good. I agree. Like you said "cook the crap out of it".
I smoked the shoulders and lower half of a 40 pound one about 5 years ago. I put it in for about 2 hours and it turned out great! Note to self, don't share with friends. They may not leave any for you! @Judith davis...I will have to try grinding one sometime.
I've noticed in your videos you like to set the 330's with the springs on one side with one stick and the use a swivel stick to keep from swiveling. I'm a novice and so far have just been using them with one spring on each side with a stick in each spring to hold it in place with trigger on top.. although I saw you said to put on bottom so I'll start doing that. Anyway is there times when one setup is better than the other or do you always like to do it with two on one side like on this video? I got my first one last weekend and the meat is so good, it has a bit of a sweet taste and flavor and like you said good clean organic meat is always the best. I'm hooked and ordered 3 more 330's this week so I'll have 5 now, going to try again next weekend
I put both Springs to one side and use a swivel stick in deeper water
@@330Maniac in deeper water when putting them in a run, can you just put it on the bottom without worrying about them swimming over it or do you block off the area above the trap?
That is a judgement call. Learning whether to set the trap up or on the bottom comes with a little trial-and-error. Each lodge can be different
Awesome vid buddy. That beaver looks really really good 😊 thank you for sharing the process 😊😊
Pretty cool vid, Iwill try some next season. Thanks for doing the video. Al
AWESOME VIDEO!
Cool video. It's funny that RUclips has more of a problem skinning a beaver than it does with you eating a beaver ;)
Great stuff
I prefer to use my snares cuz I can pack a ton of em with me and run a pretty long trap line if i want to
Definitely love snares!
"Nobody like's their Beaver rare"??? Hmm...to each is own I guess, lol.
i do use the same johnny seasoning it is good i have not heardof that other one
Good clean organic meat. And very tasty at that. Nice catch and cook. Have a BLESSED day.
As many beavers as you catch you should have just filled that roaster up with backstraps. lol You'd be crazy if you didnt put all your backstraps and hind quarters in freezer. Do you eat allot of them?
Looks delicious! Good job man
looked good to me, nothing went to waste.
Good vid! i tryed it last year it tasted like good roast beef to me
I got the wife and kids to be used to eating the coons and muskrats that I catch... The trick is to make it into jerky first then sneak it into meals and then tell them
You eat alone ?
Cut the back straps out and quarter it up and Soak it in a salt water brine for 24 hours or little more and throw it on the the treager with a nice bbq sauce
Do you soak the Beaver in Salt water before cooking Sir ?
What does it taste like?? I know everyone will say beaver.... is it close to beef or what other animal? Just curious as I've had meatballs made from beaver but they were swimming in BBQ Sauce. It does look good!!
i hope you saved the liver. one of the most tasty parts.
Nice beaver
Looks good

How can I find places to Beaver trap?
nock on doors
Might be a mental thing don't think I can do it I can still smell it feel like it would taste like castor
Gotta be very careful to not get any castor on the meat. Remove it first
