@@NIApps I'm learning from a book that came with LabVIEW for Windows 98, ALOT of it is the same. More quality of life changes than anything.

i just recently installed labview 2019 and was wondering how reliable this tutorial series is in 2019 and if its worth watching
the video is only 200 seconds long, and speaker discusses a string field and a constant variable. I can say with confidence, that such a early beginner topic would be applicable to new versions of Labview. Though, the GUI and buttons may have changed.
It's still really good for providing an overview although as said, much of the GUI has been updated

hey i need to ask you question about labview how to use combo box in string and path for example i want use 2 combo box and first combo box content zone 1, zone 2 and zone 3 for choice. the second combo box have contain alphabet ABCDEFGHIJKL. if i select the first combo box for zone 1 and the second combo box will show only ABCD, next if i select the first combo box for zone 2 and the second combo box will show only EFGH and lastly first combo box i choose zone 3 what and the select in SECOND combo box show only IJKL. can you show me how to do the combo box as for example above that my question?

Not able to connect between string constant and string in labview 18
Have you checked any of the support forums. I am not sure why you would see that.
Me too, I get the error "You have connected a constant to a Control. Change the constant to an indicator."
It claims that it is connected to two sources, but it's only connected to one.
I figured it out, I used "String Control" instead of "String Indicator"

Hi, i followed this tutorial but when i run the program i get error 61319. Crio 9004, ni9472 module, labview 2011, windows 7 home.
Thanks for the comment. This tutorial used a simple DAQ device and it sounds like you have a CRIO setup which would be used with LabVIEW FPGA which is going to be different. From a quick search, it looks like that error is a FPGA compile error since you are using different hardware from what we had in the video. I recommend going to ni.com/support for this kind of stuff since you might be able to find more in-depth information there.

Consider using Matlab. I used it for a couple years and had to port code over because it couldn't handle complex programs.
I have used both before and found both to be a good choice for certain things. I don't think it is accurate to say that LabVIEW couldn't handle complex programs though. I think it is mostly a matter of preference and dependent on what type of program you are making.
