Thank you Nick and Jill. Yeah, free parking in heavy touristy areas is definitely not something you'll find here. This past Christmas we went to an event at a private resort with parking on their grounds and they charged $32! We won't be going back. It was all about the $$. Derek was formerly a Radio personality, can you tell? I was glad to pay for parking as it was central to where we would be all day, so if we needed to get to the car, we could without too much effort. Many people have to pay to park on the outskirts of town later in the day and then take a free trolley ride into town. Sadly I had problems with my new 360 camera during the parade (it kept shutting off) so I missed recording some of the highlights. Appreciate you watching and your time.

It is a place that people go to experience spooky fall. It is a vibe very much present there. It is of course the place where many innocent people were killed in the witch trials. One of my great/great aunts was accused of being a witch but luckily was spared due to her husbands influence in the community. 25 people were not so lucky and died by hanging, pressed to death or died in jail.
The China museum was pretty awesome. Can you imagine living back in those days. Wow, good move making advance reservations for the roof top. Wow, it was a huge parade. Nice video👍🏻👍🏻41
Bobby would you believe that was just a small section I shared of a much larger exhibit and that exhibit was just a part of this museum? I forget how many stories the museum was but it was at least 3 stories tall and just amazing. The china exhibit was exquisite. The artwork and photography were a delight for sure. I heard that lines could get long during the time of our visit for supper, so I just wanted to avoid that at all costs. Thanks for watching.

Our son and his wife have been there often (they live in NH about 2 hours away) and they knew where to go luckily. Visited many of these places, but loved seeing them again here. I tried changing the settings but to no avail; the player would just show this white circle turning in the center as if it were trying to find the server itself, so I gave up. Although what I saw was surely not the quality result you had wanted to show me, I still enjoyed the show and thought that the visuals were surprisingly clear. One tiny thing: I think that the moment Derek was talking, the background music could have been set a notch (or two) softer to make his voice and speech come out a little bit better. You know the edit process is very repetitive and grueling at times Paul and after the fact you find the mistakes you should have caught before publishing. Yeah I caught that sound track was a touch too high for that particular segment with Derek. What I'm learning is there is no standard level per se, for the sound as individual tracks need to be adjusted accordingly. But we're getting better, just not 100% yet but I appreciate you noticing and letting me know! Not sure why the video won't play for you. This one was saved properly, in a more compressed format, so it isn't nearly as big as my past videos. The video is uploaded in 4K format Paul, so I suspect it is a problem with the systems over your way. Thanks again for your continued support and feedback.

With the video playback: Little by little, we are having functions taken away from us. For example, today we don't have any emoticons. We use those sparingly anyway, but sometimes you would like to add something for emotional backup of what you're writing. We can't see pictures, avatars, channel banners, etc. (they are physically not on this server). The limitations in playback could be related: they're simply narrowing the pipes to such an extent that it will no longer be an enjoyable experience to be here. As to who is doing this: could very well be this side (where I am) building a firewall of the Chinese type for my own "protection"... So, as long as we technically can be here, we will support you. If, all of a sudden, you start missing us, then you'll know why. It's not a lack of interest, but those who own and control the resources on either side decide... Kind regards, Paul

That is one place I have always wanted to visit during that time of year! It must be pretty cool seeing everyone come there for the same purpose of discovering and exploring the supernatural!
Sadly the one place that I absolutely wanted to see was the memorial area for the accused witches. We just didn't find it in our travels. Thanks so much for watching. The vibe there in October is pretty cool and got better as the day turned to night 😁.

The vanity table intricate wood carvings is a wonderful masterpiece craftmenship. So many interesting activities at the Salem celebration events. Very interesting. It is unfortunate that no camera is allowed to take footage inside the witch museum.
Hi Darren, very cool parade. Good capture of Jack Skellingon. The museum must have been good if your son decided to go in twice but sounded like there was lots to see. You didn't appear to be impressed with the place where you couldn't take photos. I think some places over milk this kind of stuff. Good job you booked in advance for the roof top dinner which looked a super experience. Fitting music too. Oh and nice one on doing the closed captions. Thanks Paul for the kind words. The museum was awesome, but that wasn't really why I went there. I was looking more for the Halloween vibe. My son is a big history buff. I am always suspect of places that don't allow photography because, you get no preview. With the ability for holograms and advance video displays surely, they could do something more interesting in the witch museum that we be more up to date. Yes, they milked us on that one! I started out doing closed captions on my videos but recently forgot to add them as it was just another extra step, but alas Becky is deaf, so she enjoys them. What I found was some of my videos they were being generated by YT, so I didn't need to do them....all the time. Appreciate your support Paul.

Hahaha yes just today! This is my answer to ,if I've ever seen the coolest police emblem! Gosh, this town is a destination for those who get a kick about Halloween and that stuff 🎃. Historic and Interesting! Clown playing sax! Festive! You really did put the right bgm for the slow drive.
Right?! They certain understand the vibe and they do well to make you feel comfortable there. So fun fact, in the witch trials, I have ancestors who were apart of it. More fun facts, I have family members who were accused and those that were accusers. Yes, they would marry generations later....Joe's Sax Appeal is just one of the many cool characters who roam the streets during October and during festivals.

In my place, some people are sort of shun or alienated because of the belief that when they touch you, they can make you ill! I've been told that stay away from so and so... When you're a kid, you believe what adults tell you.
Salem in October. It's the place to be for sure. Salem is such a unique looking city. I've always wanted to go during October. Breakfast looked amazing. Great meetup. Hate to hear that the witch museum wasn't very good. Good to know reservations is a necessity for that restaurant. 😂. The parade was awesome. Thanks.
The "only" reason I had to mention the museum is it is probably the most visited and iconic symbol of the city. My son and I played a video game years ago that actually featured the church in the game, so we were even more curious to see it. Reservations are needed for many attractions and some have to be made the day of visit, online. Which necessitates getting up at midnight to make reservations. Honestly a PITA. I guess it is the same everywhere that are heavily touristed towns/cities. Thanks so much for watching.
Sounds like this may be one place I thought I’d like to visit, but maybe not. It’s not high on my husbands list anyway so maybe it would be just as we’ll be left unseen. 😂😂
Oh no, please visit. You'll love it there. So much history that I didn't even get to share and the place is just too cool not to visit. Just know that the reservations are primarily for the high season of October, aka Halloween Month. I suspect that you won't need any reservations the rest of the year unless maybe during a festival. I really don't favor crowds either but on a Thursday the first week in October it wasn't bad at all.
This looks like such a cozy american neighbourhood, until I fully realize that oh yeah, that is Salem :D But it is not like it was back then, and I love to see those houses and historical streets, it looks gorgeous!

The "only" reason I had to mention the museum is it is probably the most visited and iconic symbol of the city. My son and I played a video game years ago that actually featured the church in the game, so we were even more curious to see it. Reservations are needed for many attractions and some have to be made the day of visit, online. Which necessitates getting up at midnight to make reservations. Honestly a PITA. I guess it is the same everywhere that are heavily touristed towns/cities. Thanks so much for watching.
Sounds like this may be one place I thought I’d like to visit, but maybe not. It’s not high on my husbands list anyway so maybe it would be just as we’ll be left unseen. 😂😂
Oh no, please visit. You'll love it there. So much history that I didn't even get to share and the place is just too cool not to visit. Just know that the reservations are primarily for the high season of October, aka Halloween Month. I suspect that you won't need any reservations the rest of the year unless maybe during a festival. I really don't favor crowds either but on a Thursday the first week in October it wasn't bad at all.
This looks like such a cozy american neighbourhood, until I fully realize that oh yeah, that is Salem :D But it is not like it was back then, and I love to see those houses and historical streets, it looks gorgeous!
