- The architects of Turkey’s national ventilation machine, CTO of the Baykar Defence, Selçuk Bayraktar and General Manager of the Biosys Cemal Erdoğan shared their experiences with TRT World.
After only 14 days later of President Erdoğan’s order to start a national initiative to develop a ventilation machine by domestic resources, the consortium gathered by Baykar, Biosys, Aselsan, and Arcelik completed the development process and started to mass production, despite the ongoing effects of the pandemic.

Yureklerindekilerini dediler. :::: En yuksek teknolojiyi ve mevcut kurulu sirketimizin tum olanaklarini kullanarak, insanlik adina ihtiyac olan tibbi malzemelerin, solunum cihazlarini uretimine basladik. Baktik ki dunya salgin hastaligi ile ucuruma gidiyor, hemen uretime basladik. Liderimiz isiginda, Teknoloji bakanligimizin ve herkesin destekleri, yuksek muhendislik disiplini ile. Bunun gibi seyler....dediler. Allah yollarini acik, gonullerini ferah kilsin.

Çok fazla birşey demediler kardeşim. Biosys yaptı, biz de biraz yazılımına yardım ettik ama asıl primi biz yaptık filan dedi. Böylece hemen hemen hiçbirşey yapmadan, vergilerinizle alınacak ve diğer ülkelere yardım olarak yollanacak her ventilatörden şakır şakır para kazanacağız da demesini bekledim ama duyamadım... Yolları açık olsun!
Also I don't want to believe that, this guy completed a masters degree or else, in MIT... His english is poor and nonfluent... I hope someday government call me and tell , "please design and produce something, and we will buy whatever"... And I go to ASELSAN, tell "ok you have to design electronics", go to TAI," ok you have to design mechanics and avionics" and I, with my software engineers, tell that we design %97 domestically... And sell that to government. You are a hero Selcuk. Long live ...

Normal zamanlarda neden bu tip faydalı sinerji olusturmuyoruz ? Bu birliktelik neden sadece solunum cihazları ile sınırlı kalıyor? Neden başka tıbbi ürünler cihazlar bu tip birliktelikler ile üretilmiyor ? Diyaliz cihazları, tomografi, MR ya da başka kritik urunleri bu sinerji ile üretmeyelim ki ? Yine savunma sanayinde motor, kamera ve başka yüksek teknoloji konusunda ambargolar nedeni ile sıkıntılar var, bunları bu tip birliktelikler ile, el birliği ile asabiliriz ve yapmalıyız ..sadece sıkıntılı günlerde değil normal zamanlarda da bir araya gelip eksiklerimizi kendimiz girebiliriz.. inşallah bu olur ve başarırız..

l proud of our engineers, health care employees and our defending personels due to they gave all they have to make this country raise. There is too many sacrifice for this country. Endless thanks to all the institutions and people who participated in and succeeded in this beautiful project. But why does this synergy happen in such bad times, does the egg need to be leaning on the door? Why do not we create such useful synergies in normal times? Why is this association limited to breathing apparatus only? Why are other medical devices devices not produced with such associations? Let's not produce dialysis devices, tomography, MR or other critical products with this synergy? Again, there are problems in the defense industry due to embargoes about engines, cameras and other high technology, we can hang them together with this type of cooperation, and we should do it .. we can come together not only in troubled days but also in normal times and enter our deficiencies ourselves. we can succeed...
