I think the best description I've heard of this song was on a original Nujabes video, but someone commented it sounds like losing someone you dearly love, and at first you're overwhelmed by the loss and are trying to figure it out and deal with it, but as time moves on you start coping and remembering the good times and what you learned from them and eventually move on but never forget.
