Awesome video! I haven't been diving in over 30 years, but am planning to get re-certified before we head out on a 7-day Tahiti cruise in April 2025. Moorea looks magical. What kind of camera did you use? Do you need extra lighting to capture the footage you got? It was fabulous. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words! Your trip sounds like it’s going to be incredible! I just used a GoPro Hero 8. And yes, I use a dive light to bring back the colors at depth.
My husband and I are taking a anniversary trip at the end of April. He is certified, but unfortunately I am not. I have been on multiple dives, but it’s only within certain depth due to not being certified. What depths were these? I am also trying to figure out what Tahiti’s regulations are in every country. We scuba diving they have different rules as far as how deep un certified divers can go.
The depths of these were around 40-60ft if I remember without checking my dive log. I think both of the dive operators checked our certification cards before we dove, so not sure if there are other options. Best of luck. Happy ANNIVERSARY!
Great video, I would love to scuba there some day. What fixture does your partner use to clip the flashlight to the camera tray? I need something like that!
I believe they are called a ball clamp mount for underwater dive housing. We bought them on Amazon. There’s mating balls that fix to the torch and you connect it all that way!

We did not, we only dove outside of the reef on both days.
