I agree on your takes for this last season, but don't agree if you think this is his ceiling. Lauri will be again different player next season I truly think he will shock again NBA fans who just keep dismissing him.
Perfect, and totally agree. One of the better off-ball players in the NBA, but lacks on-ball offense to be a #1 option. Which comp would you give to him?
He's honestly really unique in the sense that I can't really compare anyone to him. That combination of size, athleticism, and shooting as an off-ball guy isn't at all common.
& it’s crazy that even with his lack of on-ball self creation he still averages 25 I think he’ll go into the offseason and really work on his handle which will inhance his self creation skill making him an even more dominant player
Markannen cus sanonis not winning a championship as a center with his defense, markannen is a big wing so him not being a good defender doesnt hurt as much
@@jioreyes5838 sabonis and lauri are both around neutral defenders. markkanen on defense does not cover wings he is used as a helper and secondary rim protector. also having a good defensive 4 next to sabonis is a perfect pairing if they were contenders.
@@jioreyes5838 hes not a wing offensively, he sets many screens and moves a ton inside the arc. just bc he shoots 3s doesnt mean hes a wing. also if he is a "wing" on offense he sure as hell isnt on defense
A great video and analysis!
Glad you enjoyed!
Dude is a friggin monster
He's also very good transition player. (1.42ppp)
Agreed. His size and athleticism is tough to stop at that pace.
Another great video!!!
Appreciate it!
the greatest european in the western conference
I’m assuming this a joke
Unanimous, even.
Jokic and Doncic might have something to say about that
@@terterman8585 what if I told you lauri is the best shooter, most athletic, and tallest of the 3?
@@HIB801 Than you have a point, and I agree, even so, you can make a case for Doncic and Jokic just as easily
yeah hes gonna be monster when he gets better with handles
I’m surprised you don’t have Lauri in your top 25 rankings

markkanen or sabonis? i prefer sabonis due to his playmaking him actually being a creator for others
I also prefer Sabonis, think he has more defensive utility as well. Can't go wrong with either though!

@@randle6666 that doesnt change any of what i said tho (lineups with markannen at the 4 are offensively slanted hes still a wing)
