You can’t have a person come back for a role of a dead person unless their about to play a zombie and in this case ghost isn’t coming back as a zombie
i don't think the argument is whether he's alive or not what you should realize is the writers made sure to setup the whole death scene in a way where 1. if they want to bring him back, they can 2. if they want him to remain dead, no need to do anything because the death scene was good enough, they just didn't give it the closure & confirmation that they usually did for previous characters fake blood / fake gun / some pill or medication that slowed his heart rate (tv shows do this one a lot) probably many other things they can do to bring him back aside from these 3 this is 100% just a fail-safe by the writers because they were indecisive about whether they want to kill him or not. i like it, shows that they at least are considering it which gives me hope
The text says there was never any mention of a funeral, but there WAS a funeral. i still think he could be alive though. I just hope they explain it well if they bring him back.

By this being the 10 year anniversary of the Power Universe, it's would be interesting if Omari Hardwick will return as James St Patrick in a hallucination scene. And give Tariq some advice to save Tariq from Noma and how to get outta of the game.
I could definitely see him appearing in a hallucination. That seems to be a common thing in Power. But coming back in full character? Alive? I just can't see it.

And a lot of times they do like to highlight ambulances even in ghost spin-off you see ambulance pass by when tariq is at ghosts grave, you see in ghosts perspective episode the camera pans onto an ambulance driving past ghost and ghost is clearly looking towards the ambulance, this is all just hints, Courtney Kemp may have said we must watch everyone’s perspective otherwise it’ll be impossible to find out who shot ghost but she knows we all know it was so obvious, what she really meant is, we have to watch them all carefully because once the big reveal comes and ghost returns, they’ll show us the perspective we never actually seen, things that were not shown (remember every perspective episode was shot differently and this wasn’t done on accident, in Tommys perspective ghost is in a pool of blood, in Tariqs perspective there is no pool of blood (or the other way around I might be mistaken but) it’s clear as day there is so much we wasn’t shown and that’s why his death felt so… disappointing? Now we can all say yes Omari Hardwick himself did not want to continue the show as starz are not paying him right BUT he also mentioned how he wanted to go 7 seasons not 6, im sure later on down the line we will see omari hardwick on power gay whether that be as a ghost or alive, it’s definitely not the end of him, and ghost for sure had eyes and ears looking out for him, reason he wasn’t packing anything, reason he left door to truth open… he wanted whoever it was to come in and confront him, he had a plan.. and it went exactly as he planned. The only way I can see Ghost surviving the shooting is if he wore a vest. The bullet appeared to have hit his heart which would have killed him instantly, he definitely wouldn't have told Tommy not to kill the shooter who is his son Tariq. Plus, there's a chance that the fall from the balcony could have paralyzed Ghost, and why bring him back in a wheelchair?
