A friend's mother used to make these regularly. Bulk. Big ones. Big as my face. Stuffed with a slightly sweet, extra flavorful, perfect curry mince. And light, but crispy on the outside vetkoek. And, when I say "bulk" I mean Bulk, with a capital B. For their family, all the friends and class mates. Just because she loved feeding kids. Sometimes there were more than one rugby team in that house. This is as real as food gets. If you can feed a rugby team or two of growing boys until they can't eat anymore, while they swoon from the taste almost with tears in their eyes, on a budget - Then you know it's real.

Hi my aunty, you were so quiet in this video. You sounded a little down which makes me sad because I love your local recipes, cooking and spirit. I learn so much from you because I'm only learning to cook more now. These lengthy cooking videos is nice because you explain why you are doing certain steps, important for the inexperienced. That's something you can't learn from quick videos.
Hope your spirits is back up soon. I will pray for that! I hope you make a video on how to make this vetkoek mince, looks so delicious since you made them.
