    As someone who has cancelled my conservative membership I am sorry Lord Frost never led the Conservative party.
    Nevertheless, as a party after 13 years in power, it has demonstrated repeatedly that it will not base policy on what the people who voted for it want.
    While Labour and the Liberals seem even worse, votes will haemorrhage at the next election.

    Sorry David, I don't want to live in a re-run Thatcher world. If you want to know what I want. Why I'm now a Brexiteer (having voted remain). Why I can't forgive Boris Johnson for the golden opportunity he wasted. Listen very carefully to Mathew Goodwin's speech. Mathew Goodwin speaks for me.

They want to give the vote to 6 million Eu workers who are not even citizens and 16 year old kids so they can get a woke permanent labour liberal coalition in. If we end up with permanent labour government I will blame people like you If you don't like what the conservatives have done join the party and do better. @@Scott-qo1eq this doesnt have anything to do with the conservative party though. as far as i can tell, the only reason theres any kind of buzz around this "national conservatism" is because of leftists that are so fking disgusted that some real conservatives actually had the nerve to have their own conference. if you search "national conservative conference" the first 100 results are all leftist channels shitting all over this. i am a conservative but i hate the conservative party, and like most conservatives in our country, im completely politically homeless, i mean, theres right wing parties to vote for, but theyre all a bunch of weirdos and lunatics -_-

    All 'wonderful conservative words', but since Cameron the Tory party has allowed progressive socialism and cultural marxism to flourish unchecked at every level in UK society. The Tory party has less than 12 months to reverse this and repeal the Equality Act, Human Rights Act and withdraw from the Convention on Human Rights. If they do, they stand to win next election. Failure to do this will lead to a landslide defeat.
    The choice is yours Tory party.

    Were there any Norwegian speakers at the National Conservative Conference? Norway has used her oil and gas resources to build up over a trillion dollars in sovereign wealth funds. Surely, we can learn something from the long-term economic policies of Norway.

    • @NorfolkSceptic
      @NorfolkSceptic Год назад

      Norwegians have had TEN times the North Sea oil/gas wealth that Britain had, so no wonder they had more to save and spend!
      It's not that there was ten times the wealth: it was that there was a tenth of the population. And they had a sovereign wealth fund because their stock exchange couldn't cope with the amount, inline Britain.
      And speaking of spending, some time ago, read that 80% of Norway's sovereign wealth fund was being used to guarantee some of their loans, so it wasn't free to spend.
      It is also bad economics to save while owing vast amounts debts, of which Gordon Brown left a lot. The first action should be to pay off as much of the lian as possible, apart for some much needed change.
      And, had Britain had a SWF, Gordon Brown would have spent it, just like he did to the rest of the money he had, and some he didn't have!
      You can't save money with borrowed money.

      Perhaps we could, but we, or should I say, the UK Government have policies to develop a low wage, high tax economy, discourage Investment, Entrepreneurship and Business in general, and prefers to promote Woke in schools, and encourage the import of the semiskilled, hi instead of training up those here with wealth creating apprenticeships. Then it's all helped along by enforcing high price Energy, with its NET Zero Policies.

    Blame everything other than overwhelming mass immigration for house prices, that's the rule with the Tories. Frankly, it's disgusting how they continue to try and gaslight ordinary people, all so that GDP line can go up while standard of living falls due to the widening gap between the super rich and the average person (who is growing poorer).
    The Tory Government is a disaster and has had even worse policies than Tony Blair, which given that he put much of the disasters we have to deal with in motion, is really saying something. They became a Blairite party, but amped up to 11. At this point, they deserve to be wiped off the map and replaced with a functioning right wing alternative.
