Another question. I have the canon 90d. It can shoot in 120fps. But with no autofocus. Do you think 120fps still useful. But I like how you guys walk in and out with the gimbal. So I won’t be able to get the shots in focus that well with those kind of gimbal movements.
120FPS is always a great option for slow motion. You could still use it on a gimbal but you’d have to also have a focus pull attached to the lens & someone pulling focus for you if you wanted to keep the focus correct in the 120FPS. Or another option is just figure out your focal distance & stay in that area if you don’t have a focus puller/attachment. You won’t be able to keep focus going in & out like we do if you don’t have the attachments though

@@shotbydorian i HIGHLY doubt jerry using twixtor, he j be using all native shit in premiere for most part. I realized hes most likely shooting on a Sony A1 which will do up to 8k and will do 4k in 120fps

Do you record the vídeo on high fps and then use a 24 sequence?
My footage is always a mixture of 24fps & 60/120s. But yes the sequence is always in 23.976fps

hey joe, why do you guys use prime lenses rather than a 18-35?
I used to use an 18-35 when I had my GH5, now I use primes when I use the A7S III or RED.

When it comes to music videos they’re usually set up & shots are figured out during pre production. Primes in these scenarios that aren’t run & gun is always better to use over a zoom. The 18-35 is a 1.8, if I use a sigma art prime, that’s a 1.4 which gives two extra stops of the iris being opened up (more light, better depth in the shot allowing more bokeh if wanted). Also, a 1.8 on a zoom vs a prime will not be as sharp. The only times I use zoom is when I’m moving around a lot & trying to switch between prime focal lengths could have me miss the shot which is worse than it being darker/more grain in the shot.
