I fell in love with this beautiful country back in 1994 when my outfit was sent over from the U.S. to train with the Royal Welsh. I have been in love with the land of the real King Arthur ever since. After three hard exhausting weeks of training in the Breacon Beacons I know why the SAS are some of the best. Planning to go back when this Covid mess is over. I can't get enough of the land of castles, waterfalls & heroes!
Thanks for watching. Yes, a lot of intense training goes on over the Brecon Beacons. It would be good to visit again and explore the place at a much more 'leisurely" pace.
@@flydriveexplore yes you are so right. This time it will be so nice not have someone prodding us to hurry and move along. That there was nothing to see here. I have a plan already in the works to return and we can't wait . Just waiting for the governments to ease up on traveling.
Well done as always. Have you heard or been to the Nannau Estate. Just north of Dolgellau. There is a nice cottage rental called Hywel-Sele Lodge offered by Dioni. We are hoping to stay there some day. We have ancestors related to the history.
We're not that familiar with North Wales as we are with South Wales where we live. Although it is very beautiful and we need to visit more often. Hope you get to visit.
Well done Marcus! I've been up to Einion Gam a few times, but usually walking up the river bed in wellies. And yes - I've had full wellies a couple of times. Great fun. Thanks for sharing. And where's Mel???
This is my ultimate favourite place, we take the dogs regularly, there are some great old mines, my daughter wanted to explore the one that was open at the time and as a Dora the Explorer type of person, I had to follow, it is brick built tunnel and opened into a cavern, the spider sacks freaked us out though, lol, the bonus for us is lunch at the local pub, not going to say the name but it is a white building, we always need a pub lunch after a walk, still binge watching 😊
Hello from the States. Thanks for suggesting this video. Another 2 year old gem. Love a quiet walk thru the woods, even in shorts. Don’t you have gnats or mosquitoes biting your legs? Also, are tics an issue when walking thru the woods? Here on SE PA, I always wear long pants and long sleeve shirts when walking thru the woods. Plus, you have to keep an eye out for snakes, not many but they are out there. Anyway, enjoyable as always. Stay safe and be well.
We don't have mosquitos but do have gnats but not a problem. Tics are about but mainly an issue for pets. The most dangerous animal in the UK is the cow!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING M&M , HOLD ON WHERE'S THE OTHER M , LOL MEEELLLL 🤣🤣 DEFINITELY WALES HAS MANY OTHER GREAT PLACES AND FEATURES SORRY MEL YA MISSED OUT ON THIS TAKE CARE FOLK 👌😁
Once again, I'm Amazed that I don't know the Neath Valley. Actually, we've been doing North Wales a lot since Herself took a shine to Beddgelert. Or Dogtown as she calls it.
If old stones had ears and could talk they would have a story to tell us so so warm you need bug spray from chemist you carry it with you always .you risk it with no biscuit respect your a starving traveller.

The beautiful Four Waterfall Trail is lovely thanks for showing me the location :)
Wow , that water is beautiful .
😍❤️ love your vid ❤️😍
Thank you
Well done Marcus, another very enjoyable video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved the waterfalls, you did well to get to the second waterfall.
It's not that bad if you keep to the river although the rocks be very slippery. Not a place for a casual walk.
I love all the history you have in that country.
Thanks, there’s lots of it.
Such a beautiful area! Hopefully I can visit when life settles down.
There’s a lot to see in a relatively small area
Biscuit of choice today, bugger all 😂 excellent informative video again 👍
Thanks. A shocking miscalculation of the biscuit levels in the house.

That is breathtaking
It’s a great spot away from the crowds
Great video.
Thanks

Thanks, yes. walking up the river is the safest route. Mel likes the peace when I go for the day. She's back in next week's video.

Thanks for watching. Yes, a good pub at the end is always a bonus.

Don't worry Mel will be back next week.
Could do with a swim in there today!
I was tempted. On the way back quite a few people were swimming in the lower falls.
Once again, I'm Amazed that I don't know the Neath Valley.
Actually, we've been doing North Wales a lot since Herself took a shine to Beddgelert.
Or Dogtown as she calls it.
We don't know North Wales that well but I still remember the legend of Gelert from school.
@@flydriveexplore well Beddgelert's a lovely spot, and a steam train runs through it. (And a river 😉)

It's not often I wear shorts, it's usually too cold. I was a feast for the insects.
