It is Dera vali is dilect of Siraiki languge (Which is spoken in 3 Divisions of Pakistani Punjab like, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur, division) and Siraiki has a written script...while Dera Wali dilect is spoken in 2 Districts of Pakistani Punjab, Dera Ghazi Khan & Rajanpur along with 1 District of KPK Dera Ismail....
i am living in Multan and keen to watch Indian seraki people.actually I m punjabi but but my birth city Multan and adopped seraki cuture and will please to communicate with Indian seraki people
Derawali is the same as punjabi...the difference is that we consider 'Majhi' dialect as standard punjabi hence making Punjabi different else Seraiki, Majhi, Malwi,Hindko, Potowari, Doabi are all Punjabi dialects...ask famous linguists if you want....dont forget surnames are the same, farming is common and also genetics are almost the same among all the people who speak these different dialects of Punjabi...BTW Milkha Singh came from Multan and consideres himslef 100 % Punjabi...
Derewali is dialect of saraiki which is a different language than punjabi, Multan was a center of education and power since centuries. It has distinct culture which is not bhangra but Jhomar . Even in aen-e-akbari the language name was Multani. Punjabi is a new terminology which is an effort to impose Majhi on Multani. Two universities have their department of Saraiki, offering PHD level degree.. I feel sorry for those multani's who migrated to india and could not resist against Majha but i equally understand they were left with no other option.
