Certainly in the running! So many great Maiden solos on Piece of Mind!
All the solos on #ofthebeast are perfect as well.
Hard to pick a top 5 or even 10 ..or even 20!

One of my favorites. Adrian's solos are always so memorable. Thanks for sharing! P.s. At 50% I could imagine it being one of the Bluesy solos on Hotel California. 😉

Great cover, not very many people play the part at 0:22 with the tempo increase, makes all the difference. Nice one.

That part still isnt exact, not bein a dick, but im learning that solo and nobody shows how to do that part right yet. Its like he does a semi palm mute during a few of those sped up bends at certain times. If you have the master track play it at half speed and you'll here a severe difference in how the same exact note, the same exact pattern is played differently before he even changes the speed to the really fast part of that lick, but especially during the faster part

Dont get me wrong i havent figured out how he does that minor change yet, but thats why im pointing it out, cause i havent seen anybody do that in their covers yet

    • @StephLeGratteux

Yeah this is obviously the hardest part of this solo, and to me it's also one the hardest part of all Adrian's solos. Simple lick but diabolic speed

Idk if it's the string gauge I'm using but I've tried 9's and 10's always felt it was hard to bend.

      @@andrewfernandez268 watch the picking exactly...
It is a bit of a hybrid approach there are two upstrokes following each other so you stay inside the Strings and don't have to move above the G-String every time...
I've practiced it 5 days wrong until i noticed it :D!

Vibrato is not right, Smith has a super creamy vibrato, yours is way too nervous/fast (and slightly out of tune) - have another listen. It's his signature.

it is really foolish to compare a random YT-er to Adrian Smith. The reason why he posted the video is not to combat Adrian Smith.
His vibrato may not be as good as Adrian's but I just dream of having even his skills and his vibrato.
Most importantly, it is never too late to show your skills and your creamy vibrato.
