    Add a K&N cold air intake, a Flowmaster Flow FX dual exhaust and an Overland Tailor Tune.
    It changes the torque to come on at 2K RPM and Stops your transmission from “hunting” for the right gear.
    The intake and exhaust will give you More Horsepower, Torque and mpg, plus the sound is awesome and no “drone” in the cab at highway speeds.

  • @robisking528

    That was the transmission they should of put in the 4runner, those shorter gear ratios really help the 0-60

    Those were some quick times to 60. Most magazines have them in the mid 7’s. Great job!

    Did you try it with the ECT button pushed? That should be faster. Or was that the power mode you mentioned.

    3:40 the sound you’re talking about is caused by the 3.5 using a traditional belt fan. This is gone in the 2024 2.3T sadly

    How is it that the 310hp 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro4X you tested did the 0-60 in 8.11 seconds whilst the 278hp 2023 Tacoma TRD OffRoad does it in 7 seconds flat? Very surprising.

    Tacomas sound great. That 3.5l v6 is pretty stout and gets it up to speed nicely. I certainly prefer it to the new version with a small 4 cylinder turbo that sounds like absolute garbage.

      I have a 23 tacoma off road s.b dbl cab love it man!! Turbos suck!!! I run 91 premium in mine to get the actual torque an hp the specs say its zero ethanol too. She runs good. Running 5w30 in summer and 0w 20 in winter! Loved ur comment they sound like garbage lol

In the book the hp and torque specs are using 91 premium gas. Im actually suprised how fast it is. For the weight as it is 4500 pnds my 2021 acura rdx was 2.0 turbo at 4000 pounds. Tacomas not a rocket but hell if you slowly but get into it gradually but hard or matt it which i nvr do it goes!!! But ive only ran 91 in it. Just at 6000 km. Factory tires. No lift. Offroad. Is it wrong that I baby my 2023 Tacoma? These things get bad enough mpg as it is and I have an overwhelming feeling that as expensive as it is, I want to preserve it as long as I can. Should I be babying it, keeping it at like 55 mph and being light on the peddle to get 20-25 mpg or bust it loose and get 12-15 mph? Sure seams like fun to drive it that way though. Now that they're made in Mexico and not the same quality as the past, will it last 200k-300k any more and are we taking our chances hot rodding it like that? I honestly want to know.

    The tunes are odd. I had a race with 1 from a stoplight. It was dead even until 50 by 70 I was 1 car ahead in my old altima. Is this a 2wd truck or tuned?

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews  9 месяцев назад

      2023, stock! I think 2wd. It's about as fast as the Altima 2.0T on the 1/4 mile...

    • @occckid123
      @occckid123 9 месяцев назад

      @@DMCarReviews no its definitely not. It would definitely get smoked. Having the 2wd variant isn't going 2 magically make it that fast thoug it does help. Every magazine has it well over 7 seconds and not even hitting 90mph in the 1/4. It's like a 7.7 0-60 but I guess the 2wd helps alot with weight. Idk who gets a 2wd pickup. Mine as well get a small cargo van if you need it to haul flowers :). The altima 2.0t does high 5 very low 6 if you hit the pedal right and atleast 1/2 second quicker though I'm curious about the weight of this truck in 2wd form mist not be super heavy without looking maybe 4k pounds

    • @DMCarReviews
      @DMCarReviews  9 месяцев назад

      @@occckid123You won't get high 5s in the Altima turbo off a normal start like that. It's like 6.6-6.7 seconds, and a 14.6-14.7 quarter mile, which is a few tenths apart from it. The Tacoma starts way better than the CVT, so I can absolutely see them running the same 1/4 mile in reality. The Tacoma has a way stronger 60ft than the Altima, so it will be ahead up till the 1/8 mile. The best case scenario for the Altima is to even out at the quarter mile.

    • @occckid123
      @occckid123 9 месяцев назад

      @@DMCarReviews off of a turbo lag normal start maybe but I don't see that happening nope. Let's see it in real life. I just watched the altima taking out an es350 off the line and a gs. It's nkt that slow off the line. Please review car and driver or motortrend test of the altima and then look at the 0-30 time. It's actually pretty good. I mustve raced a 4wd version because they are slower than the 2.5 altima.
