This track really communicates the freedom and thrill naafiri feels after being released, but also with sections communicating her unimaginable pain and anxiety over both being trapped for millenia in constant torment, as well as being trapped with the memory of her trauma from icathia and having to recall that. It also gets across the hesitation she initially felt at allowing herself to sunder her conciousness to become one with the pack.
Some other cool symbolism in this theme -- the first part of the song where we're introduced to the strings and the electric guitar and more growly beat separately are meant to symbolize the pack and naafiri separately. Later in the song, when they are finally in sync the electric guitar begins to mimick jackal/wild dog laughs (9:12 in this video). The champ's designers said that all of Naafiri's design was largely inspired by Hyenas and African Wild Dogs.

The point about contrast in the middle of an intense piece of music actually resonates with me. When I first heard this track I did catch myself starting to zone out from that intense pace. And then that pause came at just the right time. It also ties into her narrative. I don't quite want to spoil it if you wish to do a full breakdown, but suffice it to say that the two intense pieces of music tied by a period of anxiety and nothingness (empty space may be the better word) has a very strong thematic tie to her story. Also Luna is adorable. Please give her pets from us.

The middle section being more quiet and ominous also represents the moment naafiri was trapped, the violent random chords at the beginning almost sounding like her trying to escape it but with no sucess follow by the silence and whispers of the time she spend there until the hounds bite the dagger and she awakens again with the music now a little more intense and with a new harmony of the strings representing her new form and her new state of mind

Naafiri’s lore is actually very interesting,now i won’t go into it because i have gotten to the point where my eyes are closed for longer than they are open per minute but just know that: Doge hunt,doge not alone,doge possesed,doge traumatized,doge want family,doge eat. lol 💀 (Holy f i forgot to listen to her theme until now so im getting to listen to it with u and it’s already such a banger barely in wth?!)
Wow, the first part of it is like a chase in a way, slow build up when you think you see someone behind you, then the running rythm and later that heavy sound with a eerie string behind it. It just sounds like a horror chase scene with ripping the prey to shreds at the end. The whispering part does sound ominous and builds tention and in general that part gives the feel of folse sense of security (still filled with tension as if you know something is out there but you're just hiding) and the buildup sounds like running in the distance and then we are back to the relentrles brutality of main part of the song. (I'm not a music expert at all, I just like to describe what I feel when I hear the music)
Aside from what you said, the whispering also serves as a connection to the void, as unintelligable whispering is often associated with the void, as can also be seen (or rather, heard) in Arcane whenever shimmer is being used by someone.
I've fallen in love with that theme. It's so damn good ! But a thing that strangely resonates with me, is the subtil similarities you can hear with Fiddlestick's theme. There are a lot of sound effects, melodies and sound design that make me think about Fiddlestick. And I think the reason for that is the one word that unify both Naafiri and Fiddlestick together is : Fear. Both are heavy figures of Fear in its most primal form. But there is a main difference beetween the two of them. The music for Fiddlestick plays a lot on paranoia : the fear of a huge threat lurking in the shadows, in every corner of the space and all around us, ready to strike at any given moment. Simply put : an embodiment of Nightmare and "psychose". Yet Naafiri's theme go in the opposite feeling of Fear : the fear of being chased down by a group of beasts, running desperately for a safe spot, only to die in a horrible way. As the audience, we're witnessing a bloody chase, both as predator and as prey. That's one of the main reasons why I think Naafiri's theme is a masterpiece. It gives the same sense of fear that Fiddlestick has, but because of the instruments, rythm and melody used, we find ourselves in a completely different atmosphere. And I love it ! Love watching that classically trained analysis face crack, and then delve into the childlike enthusiasm of what made you fall in love with music in the first place: pure enjoyment instead of pure focus and the weight of perfectionism. Also, if you're looking for an excellent and difficult streaming game: Crypt of the NecroDancer. You'll love all the puns and chess like dancing.
My favourite parts of the piece are; the pitter patter of feet running and the quick guitar with drums riff/drop sounding like a jackal or hyena laughing. (Especially the last *two 9:03 with a end howl! & 9:13 both spaced out from the normal drum roll with the electric guitar being front and center instead of the drums.)

Because you already covered Aatrox and Naafiri I would recomend checking their fellow darkin. Kayn has two themes one for, well... Kayn, and the other one for Rhaast. I would be greatfull for considering them for the next one (after Mordekaiser of course)

If I actually knew nothing about Naafiri and had to try and create a concept for the character based on the music alone, what comes to mind is some brutal champion of an underground fighting pit. The "hits" as he put it to me bring to mind claps of an audience cheering for him.
You should try and listen to Galio theme (also from league of legend), it is not known at all because it is not a popular champion but the character is really majestic so is his theme !
I believe the chanting is meant to represent “The void whispering” Shurmian ascended get this whispering who tries to corrupt these ascended so they have a material body
I don't find any videos on your channel about Arcane, the animated show based on League of Legends. I'm surprised, since it has some great music and a soundtrack that was exclusively composed for the series by Riot's music department together with a variety of well-known artists. Sure, it's not a video game in itself, but... at least it's based on one. :P Would be great to see you react to it.
If you get a kick out of the vibe of this, then i’d like to suggest killer instinct (the soft reboot, which isn’t hard to find it’ll be the first that comes up) There’s so much personality in each characters, theme, pulling from heavy-metal to different cultures around the world, not for you specifically to start so that you’re not immediately overwhelmed I’d say to go with blade wolf, beautifully captures the essence of Silver screen monster horror
