I was in a break dance crew that was a part of Ms.Browns tap dance class in harlem early to mid 80s. Carl was the man in that class, and almost every female wanted him only. We were slightly jealous of him back then, but we were happy when he got the role on The Cosby show.
Martin is a show that helped me get through many EXTREMELY dark and tumultuous times. I will ALWAYS have appreciation for each and every immensely talented actor who made that show the Masterpiece and cultural touchstone it is.
I wonder how many people automatically believe " Cole" that refused to believe Tisha when she said she was being seggually assaulted and mistreated by Martin Lawrence.
Maaan, you KNOW you are a great actor of the fans cannot pick up on any beef between two actors.... Maybe Martin was struggling with what he did to BE big. He said he would NOT, but ....here we are, decades later. Martin regreted selling his soul.probably still does.
The way these old men discuss women is disturbing to me. That “ leftovers” line just rub me the wrong way. I can’t hear anything else he said past that.
Why is this being used for content now? This is messy. Martin and him have since made up almost 4 years ago and they've done the reunion and many group meet ups together in recent years.
Carl Payne - that man be working, and has never stopped! From plays to indie projects - he loves his craft and is committed to it - and has no problem entering spaces that aren't necessarily star studded, but culturally relevant and entertaining. This is the case with so many "Black famous" actors. Also, him saying that there won't be a reunion special is a sad truth. I just don't think Martin is healthy enough for one. I am not sure what happened - and when - but hoping he continues to be okay.
Definitely loved Quantum Leap. I’ve never seen this interview in Carl’s own words. He doesn’t speak on this now. I’d like to know what it was like for him to help raise Bobby Brown’s son, especially during Bobby’s wild times. He had to deal with some intense personalities.
If Carl and Tisha both had issues with Martin then the common denominator is Martin. We will find out probably many many many years from now that Tichina also had issues. We will never know how Tommy really felt.
Something about Martin’s energy gives off bully vibes. That coupled with being target of many of Martin’s jokes on the show, would have driven me crazy.
Let the past be the past why do you have to dig up stuff people are trying to to get their life together & do better let it go gossiping about Black peoples we do we have to tear down each other other do better yourself help supporting voting the next weeks let these people personal lives be their own
Wow you would never know from looking at the show so professional all of them and they really have some good chemistry sorry to hear that the workplace was not a great environment for them but hopefully now know they can still remain friends I mean I know how it is I tend to not think of even Hollywood people as family family it's like you work family just like at my regular job I have my work family and friends too sometimes when we part ways certain people we may not see either ever again or talk to very infrequently that's okay too you know people just got to realize you know you know people part ways for whatever reasons and that's just it but I'm glad they were able to come back and settled difference is you know in in a way and you know get a chance to grow up to
😮😮 whaaaat? Pizza boxes? Does he own some Pizza Huts? Some Papa SEAN John's 😂? Was he keeping his kids or others under some drug induced state by having the boxes infused with something? I'm not believing EVERYTHING these bloggers are putting out. I've never liked the "man"... saw him for the demon he was early in his career, but some of this stuff is exaggeration and it's worse.
Definitely sounds like AI. I doubt Diddy is dumb enough to try to talk in code on a jail call especially using the term “pizza boxes”. Plus how did it get “leaked”?
Martin was insecure (like most comedians) and it reflected on the show because he surrounded himself with weak male characters to fluff his ego. Cole was a fool, and Tommy ain't have no job for a reason. Probably learned it from Eddie on Boomerang. David Alan Greer's character was constantly torn down, and Martin's character is mentioned multiple times as impotent with no significance to the character or plot. Eddie had the power to emasculate them that way on his project, and Martin was happy to get his chance to be in that position.
Does Tichina have issues or conflict with Martin too? Because it would be really funny and ironic if she DIDN'T lol. Like off all people, Martin got along with Pam the best in real life.
I remember Tisha Campbell later came out and reconciled with Martin as well. She was upset because she was dating him and Duane Martin and she was deciding to marry Duane. Martin tried to warn her several times about Duane but she did not listen. That’s what started the lawsuits. He was definitely upset he lost her
I give Carl a lot of credit he kept it professional and u never saw the tension on screen
I’ve always thought Carl Payne was soooo fine. Everybody wanted Tommy. I wanted Cole.
Yea Cole was fine to me! I dated a guy that looked like him and was goofy! Really nice guy!
I don’t recall everyone wanting Tommy but rip. Cole seemed so kind and handsome.

I remembered they did his character dirty sometimes so goofy and kinda slow!! 👀 Still My favorite 90s tv show of all time!!!
"RENT 'em spoons!" 😂😂😂
I heard the problem started when Cole would get louder laughs then Martin from the set audience 👀
Idk why my eyes watering over here! 🥺🥺 This cast and its audience are literally family! All we’re missing is Tommy 😭😭😭
I mean Tisha Campbell couldn’t have been the only cast member Martin Lawrence had issues with.
This interview was YEARS ago. Like a LOOOOONG time ago.
@@queendionne659 idk if you missed when she said it’s way back Wednesday
@@Creeatethat😂😂
@@Creeatethat thank you I was about to remind her
Martin was on drugs and was problematic, much like his character.
@@ShugaAnnSpyce Thank you and people degraded and didn't believe Tisha when she said she had problems with him.
His character wasnt problematic… wtf ?! Yalll are so damn dramatic
When did Martin actually say he was on drugs? I’m curious to know.
He was never on drugs
RENT A SPOON 😂😂😂
Classic😂😂
One of my favorite episodes!
I wonder how many people automatically believe " Cole" that refused to believe Tisha when she said she was being seggually assaulted and mistreated by Martin Lawrence.
Martin probably had an ego issue. Everyone loved him!!!
It’s a common issue among high profile celebrities, Martin could not stand to allow others in that show Martin to out shine him. In my opinion
This was really good!! I had no idea!
1. Loved quantum leap but why don't I ever remember seeing him on there?! Lemme start watching it again 😊
I watched this on a different channel. Malcolm and Eddie had the same dynamic
1! Quantum Leap girl here!
Use to love quantum leap.. the original not the new one 😆
Please post Diddys jail calls to his son. They are out there. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Say word?!! OH SNAP!!
That's fake and I don't have to even hear them... the feds don't release phone calls
Girl what is wrong with you? Loser!
I didn't know that was him on Cosby 😮😊

1 I loved quantum Leap
Carl Payne had them rent’em spoons ideas and thoughts!! That’s why he was so funny.
I never really like how Cole was portrayed. Martin may have tried to treat Carl like Cole in real life
I did not know Cole had a baby from Bobby Brown baby mama. Oh I can't wait for part 2
Way Back Wednesday with everything coming out within the industry is pure genius!👀🍿
1… I definitely remember Quantum Leap…I don’t remember him on there at all. I must watch some old episodes

We do not speak of this....ever! As far as we are concerned, there is only one version
I didn’t realize how fine Carl Payne is👀
Cole was so fine still is especially when he was younger on the Cosby show
