She used the plastic cap to prevent glueing her braid together. It’s easier to remove the glue from the back due to the molding but excessively hard to take it out of a single braid that has been wrapped in glue. Damage and shedding would be the end result without it lol

Thanks for this detailed explanation. I have a question, how would you take this hair down, if you wanna wash your natural hair? Do you have to use alcohol at all to remove the glue?
Kaygee Segun DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!!! 😂😂 use conditioner (and a lot of it) it’ll slide right off then wash your hair and then deep condition so that you can make sure the glue don’t stay in your hair😁😁

I prefer stocking caps over it first less Glue on your hair barely any and when done cut the access off I've never put it directly on my hair causes damage

I might be late but for the ponytail, you can use a black wrap strip to cover your braid. Then use the hair glue to seal the ends after you wrap it.

I’ve never seen anybody wrap their hair in plastic with this method, they just glue it to the braids the plastic is genius!
