This was the Star Fox that gave the most content out of any other of its franchise. Air, space, Land, guns, missiles, bombs, mines and lasers all around. And the multiplayer maps omg.
Man so many memories with this game… 2006, i remember my Mom came home with the game for my 5th birthday and my friend Brandon came over and we played it for fuckin’ hours and when I got to this level my dad heard this song playing and was like “What are you fighting some Mexicans or something?” Mind you we are Mexican 😂 which made his comment even funnier.
One of the best soundtracks ever, and one of the most underrated games ever. All you have to do is switch the controls of the on-foot sections to the setting that's pretty much like any 3rd-person shooter. BOOM! Good game.
Until you realise you can still only turn so slowly. It takes around 4 seconds just to spin around! You're still running around like a tank, at the end of it. Though despite that, it's still my favorite in the franchise.
Yeah yeah, I'll admit it. My first meeting with Fox was Super Smash Bros. Melee. Comes with your first console being the GameCube. But when I got Star Fox: Assault, I loved it. It felt like there were so many subtle references that were going above my head, but I still loved every minute. I loved the game design, the voice acting and even the occasional glitches. But man, the one thing I loved the most in Assault was the first scene Wolf and his crew appeared. Wolf was so intimidating, I was actually scared of him. Leon was almost like a serial killer waiting for his prey and Panther, man Panther was so cool. Not to mention the design of their ships. Such a joy to my eyes. But it all started with this song. And man it will always be my favourite Star Wolf theme. Sure, I may like the Star Fox 2 theme just a little better as a song, but as a theme for the whole team? Definitely this.

This song at 1.25x speed is what it should've been like for the only Star Wolf boss battle. It sounds more like what we expect from the theme this way.
It definetly fits for the fact that Wolf is no longer an antagonist, and is instead an anti-hero.
