If it now is true that he only exists in her head then it could be a fight club style thing where the actions he has done like throwing the students was done by her subconsciously. That would also explain why nobody seems to react when he acts like a douche in public. Wow this was longer than I thought it would be.
i think that is obvious that niles is a fusion of the remenats of zero and axol since when melony kill axol zero wasnt complety destroy only the virus but since he need an avatar so he use what remain of axol body thats why he has tre fingers and he use that cap so his gills can simulate hair and cover his eyes that robably is missin or has a 0 and you can even see that he has a double personality the one that annoy melony and the one that is trying to help her and is wierd that he know about her deity mode and her overkill mode and that she wants to protec and help hers friends even though he only meet her recently
Y'now, I personally hope Niles is, well, Niles. And that SMG4 is just trying to throw the theorists for a loop. I kinda like his design and I like how we have a properly neutral character. That being said, I do hope he's gonna be important later on.

After all there's still so much we don't know about him or his history with Smg1 & Smg2. I defiantly feel like we haven't seen the last of him.

Niles is the mastermind of SMG0 and there were plenty of clues as to why. 1. His appearance. Melony (besides Swag in the Detention Video) is the only one who can see and interact with him. 3. He knows about her deity powers despite her not having a direct conversation about them with him.
Now we already know the real identity of the detention guy. i have to said that he may be rude with Melony, but looks he really want help her to dominate her powers.
