Pegula is top 5 in the WTA. This was very impressive. If Emma can keep playing without injury, who knows where she can get to. Her new serve is getting her into some double faults. Hopefully that will start dropping as she gets more comfortable.
No she didn't, as a 'qualifier' she only beat older, more experienced and much higher ranked players (in straight sets) !! But today, she beat a Top 5 !!
@@robertmartin7594 she's beaten lots of players who've held a top 10 ranking, just not when she played em. Ranking isn't everything, unless you're silly enough to think Emma's real ranking is #168
Well, give or take 1 ranking point because she beat the Olympics champion Bencic who was ranked 11 at the time but Emma was ranked 150 and playing in only her 5th WTA match at the time, still a record for the fastest ever Slam win in tennis history.
What a match. Great play and determination from Emma.
Well done Emma been a while since you had a victory and performance of this level❤

More importantly, Pegula was on a grass streak, having just won in Berlin.
Felicitări👍
fantastic performance Emma
Great personality great player--back to form?
Why spoilers on all of your videos???
Love all the connatations regarding RADDERS surname, their inventiveness never cease to amaze !!
You're telling me she won the US Open without ever taking a set off a top 10 opponent. Wow...
Want to see Leylah!
surely she beat a top 10 when she won us open no?
Nope.

She beat Maria Sakari on Semi

As always since that US Open, Emma followed this good win with a bad loss. Luckiest slam winner ever. A fluke. Flash in the pan.
That was almost Chokacanu but well done Emma for hanging tough ☺️👍🏻
yeah if Emma lost 3 service games in a row, that would have been the choke of the year so far
@@BOZ_11 It really would but she hung tough and saved a match point 👌🏻
@@BOZ_11choke of the year is Danielle collins vs iga swiatek round 2 of Australian open
You're trying too hard. Emma just beat 2 players ranked much higher than her... Back to back.
@@MelvinLew kinda missing the point but ok 😬
