belitina1123 I’m actually dealing with depression and anxiety disorder for years now and even had to go to a hospital for that ...I’m also an artist and during my worst months I wasn’t able to draw because my room was such a mess . In no way I was trying to insult her all I was trying to say is that I’m glad that she has her studio back. I’m really sorry if I sounded offensive, that was not my intention

It's so sad when people fall so deep down the rabbit hole of hoarding, they can not differentiate the value between "keepsake" vs. "garbage".

It’s honestly very tricky. I’ve struggled with messy rooms throughout my whole life, I’m 23 and I still do, but I’m getting better at it. But I have these little lingering symptoms, sometimes my brain just goes like “Hey you could keep that as Vintage decoration and make something out of it!” as I’m washing out an empty soup tin so the garbage bin doesn’t smell. Like what? The hell am I gonna do with that? Luckily I have the mental ability to actually throw it away.
There not just cleaners, there angels. Not only they have passion in their work they also have a caring side, never judge anyones circumstances x

The old lady really suits to be a voice actor. Her voice is so sweet.
I like how they don't judge the people in anyway before, while or after cleaning.
This one wasn't bad but I've seen a few other British cleaning shows where the reactions of the cleaners are really shocking and offensive. I think the US Hoarders team is much more respectful. They also provide mental health support and counseling.
I think quite a few of these lovely people would benefit from help for their mental health alongside the cleaning service. I can’t imagine the average person letting things get this bad with no background of other issues going on.
Bless the cleaning professionals who do this work - what a difference it makes!

This was so much sweeter and more gentle than the horders tv show. Yes she still has a horde but she did get rid of a lot of stuff without the crying and drama and she’s happy and the house is cleaner, safer and more organized.
i completely understand this, i feel so much more at home in a messy room. right after i clean my room i always feel this sort of eerie emptiness, its sometimes even hard for me to go to sleep. it's like the things being there make me feel comfy and safe because i can see them and know where they are

@@LiSa-fc5sp its not animal abuse because the snake is clearly not alive. Im not sure but people keep dead animals in a jar with a liquid that keep them in the same state then when they just died.
Because it’s a wet specimen, the animals die from natural causes and can then be preserved in their original state for scientific or curio purposes, I personally collect such items and they are fascinating to look at and own nearly all of them are vintage and in formaldehyde which is now banned as it’s a toxic chemical but it’s not abuse or disgusting or anything like that it’s just fascinating and an oddity to collect same as people collect shoes or bags

My question is this: what does this woman's house look like now? Having received this blessing, has she incorporated its lessons into her everyday life? Is she taking responsibility for herself? Has she, in fact, changed? I would like to think she has, but I am doubtful. A residence like this can only be described as a symptom of mental illness. And if that root cause hasn't been addressed, I imagine it will resurface as soon as the camera crews leave the premises.
Those paintings are really amazing, I feel a strong need to practice.
So they only did 3 rooms - the kitchen, bedroom & art room? What about the bathroom, living room/s and other 8 bedrooms? Hopefully they go back and do the other rooms!
They only have like 3 days which isnt enough time to tidy all of the rooms so they can only do the most important
3 days isn't a lot with a hoarder who wants to control everything they touch. They can gut some houses quickly when it's just dirty from someone who can't look after themselves but when everything has meaning to someone it gets way harder.
Hopefully they go back and do the other rooms!

Fun fact:
People with ADHD have poor object permanence and unconsciously organize their space so they can see as much as they can. Their brain has a system, and that is "ok I don't want to forget I own this so I'll put it where I can see it" and drops it on the floor or something.
A way to deal with this is to organize with glass/clear containers and put things in shelves so they're visible.
