On the Rule #2 for momentum. What happens if the ball bounces outside the kitchen, You hit the ball and your momentum takes you into the kitchen. Is that a fault?. You only advised on the volley when it doesnt bounce. But i want to know if it does bounce outside the kitchen and that happens?. Thank you.

    1. For the serve, do both players need to stand behind the baseline?
    2. On the receiving side, can the other player stand inside the kitchen?

What happens if the returning team knocks the ball out of bounds before the second bounce has happened?

Some you didn't cover is if you go out of bounds to hit a ball you don't have to hit the ball over the net, you can hit the ball outside/around the post and it's still good. Also if you drop your paddle in the kitchen that's a fault whether you step over the line or not.

You make the comment that if the serves lands in the kitchen OR on the kitchen line it is a fault. The kitchen line is within the kitchen which is why this is a fault. Likewise the baseline, midline and sideline are in the service court which is why it is not a fault when you hit these lines. Semantics perhaps but it helps clarify the rule for new players. Instead of telling a new player that these lines are in and these lines are out simply tell them them it is a fault if the ball does not land in the service court.

I tell players "all lines are in" and as such the kitchen line is in the kitchen and thus for serves is illegal. New players seem to understand this.

If you are in the kitchen then both feet must be established out of the kitchen before you can hit the ball.

Sorry but your Rule #6 I believe is incorrect. For 2024 it's my understanding that if the ball touches (a draping) net on your opponents side, that too is a redo (regardless of bottom crossbar or not).

Oh interesting! Can you point me to that rule in the rule book so we don’t make errors in future videos? Never heard that one. What constitutes a draping net?

      See rules 2.C.6 & 11.L.5.B
Basically interpreted as the ball goes over the top and touches any part of the net on your opponents side on its descent.
From the USA Pickleball 2024 rule book
      Draping Net (2.C.6/11.L.5.b)
Rule 2.C.6 called for a replay when a ball goes over the net and
hits a net that is draped on the ground (except on a serve) but
only if the referee determined that the ball was affected by the
draped net. This rule, and Rule 11.L.5.b for temporary nets, now
call for a replay without qualification. A determination that the ball
was affected by the draped net is now not required in officiated or non-officiated play.

2.C.6. Draping Net. Except on the serve, a replay will occur if
the ball goes over the net and hits a draping net on
      the ground.
11.L.5.b. Except on the serve, a replay will occur if the
ball goes over the net and:
      - hits the center base
      - hits any part of the horizontal bar
      - the ball gets caught between the net
      and the horizontal bar
      - hits a deflecting net
      - hits a draping net on the ground
Except on the serve, if the ball goes over the
net, bounces on the court, and then
performs any of the above listed actions, a
      replay shall occur.
