  • I also show the method I use to find the center of a steak (or anything) with a temperature probe... it's a pretty good idea and it works pretty good if I don't say so myself...lol

    Because of you, I bought a ninja speedi I’ve never owned a ninja product before. So now you’re going to have to teach me how to use it. Keep up the great work. Thanks, John .

    I do both and like the flexibility of a sous vide. Sous vide seems to hold more moisture in my opinion.

      It is a induction cooktop, I have a couple different kinds such as one that monitors the pans you put on it made by Hestan Cue that I love, but for a normal induction cooktop this one is a lot cheaper and works really well... Ice had some that didn't...lol

    First you should sear straight on fire or with the fire and not on the skillet. You need high temp for sear. Thats why your stake dont look seared...😢

      No...I just decided to slow down... Considerably untill I have something not already over done... It's hard to just come up with valuable videos on things like air frying when so many are doing a great job at it and there is only so much you can do...I have a video on the works... But no hurry to publish until I know it's a good one and actually offers some use to others but thank you very much for asking... Love jelly

    You are missing the important part of Sous Vide, Sous Vide is not just about getting meat to a specific temp and keeping it there, but, about keeping the meats juices, adding herbs, spices, marinade, whatever you like to a sealed environment. All you did was compare two steaks at the same temp and that will always come out the same. If you want to compare, actually use Sous Vide how it is supposed to be used. If you leave a steak in a Sous Vide with spices, herbs, marinade, whatever you want, it will add a lot more flavour and change the entire steak compared to just heating it, searing it, pinch of salt, eat it.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  Год назад +6

      I agree... It will change the flavor but you could do similar things in reverse sear...i love sous Vide and use it a lot but I never add those things to the vacuum sealed bag...i realize a lot of people do but I like nothing but salt and pepper on a steak and it can be added at the table which is how I always do it
