Lawnmowing story is pretty wholesome. I'd imagine the wife will get over it. I also want to try mowing my lawn. lol.

Teri was spot on for the story about "fat" Julia. If she was offended that he called his wife fat, and wife was okay with it, there must be some issue she has internally keeping her from loving herself. OP sounds like he's very reasonable and really just wants the best for everyone around him.

Urgency / (Time Remaining * Motivation) = Procrastination Level

Does this mean the procrastination level goes up as urgency goes up? Unhealthy but also super real lol

1st Story, the wife was NTA. It's reasonable to stop making lunch if it's getting thrown away every night. The husband seems to already know that this work wife thing was an issue from the way that he reacted calling her petty over it, so not wanting to be "rude" to the work wife is not a good excuse for throwing away real wife's lunch.
Obviously more communication might have given a better outcome, and maybe more productive conversation, but if that's how she was able to deal with it, that's how she was able to deal with it.
But MAYBE she's a vindictive bitch and only made his favorite lunch because she was jealous, which might turn her husband off even more from eating her lunch. Not a good look on either party.
There might be some details missing here and there. I think reading more of the comments would help flush out the story!

If you weren't going to make assumptions on the last story, it sounds like both people had many opportunities to just drop the topic. Husband is okay to express his feelings about the word "partner", but demanding the friend use another word is a bit much. I don't blame the friend for using the word "partner," but getting so defensive so quickly wasn't necessary. I'd say neither are assholes, or both, however you wanna see it.

I totally agree, it seems like neither of them wanted to meet in the middle.
