- We made some heli shots for a undisclosed production, using a ultra-compact gimbal system for the alexa mini, based on our MotionLock line of gimbal systems. ( pyro.de/products/motionlock/ )
This is some onboard footage we shot handheld - so please excuse this documentary-style camera work.
Questions regarding the production and/or location can't be answered... - Наука
The middle finger explained it all. I put this pilot in the same category as the men who have stated "hold my beer and watch this "
I'm with you, flipping off the camera is childish and immature... not someone I'd fly with.
Wow, what a bell end. The only thing amazing about that pilot is his recklessness
Repeat this mantra... "Altitude is your friend " ....oh wait he doesn't have any friends . Even altitude wouldn't get in the cockpit with him
this dude can fly, only not sure he should. the mantra is always: it not only you; its the people beneath you
This guy flew beautifully in control the entire time the flipping off the camera bjt was silly but it wasn’t that bad. This guy flew very well and looked very competent flying in these conditions it takes a master to be able to fly through these conditions safely and it is very dangerous. No margin for error
Talented pilot: yes. Smart pilot: no. Badass fucking video: unfortunately one of the coolest.
All I can think about at around 2:20 is my instructor rolling off the throttle going “engine failure, engine failure, engine failure”. Where are you going to go? There is zero room for error there. Cool to watch but Jesus I would never fly there myself or be in the back seat... spooky.
Everything for the audience...
Pyro Labs Exactly! Fun as hell to watch I definitely enjoyed it, but there’s still a tinge of cringe in me lol.
Definitely an MD500 for that level of maneuverability! Obviously done that route a few times, great piloting skills! Envious of the flying location for sure- he is enjoying life flying is all I can say! Good on ya.... nice vid.
Superior pilots, never put themselves in situations that require superior flying skills.
Especially with someone else onboard.
It's true
Glad you did it so I can enjoy it via this video as there is no way I'd risk that. Looked FUN!
Fun only if your stomach can take it. Two out of three passengers vomited...
@@pyrolabsberlin So where can I see the actual footage?
When the blades hit the tree he will realise that no joke with the helicopter
hmmmm how long was it before this footage was recovered from the wreck???
Reminds me of my recurring nightmare of flying an airplane that can't get above tree top level.
Why ruin a good pair of shoes when you crash and burn!
ok just thug life
There are old pilots and bold pilots. There are no old bold pilots.
Yeah Bob Hover.....Patty Wagstaff.... Old pilots in crappy planes..... Also the man who built and flew the ultralight Easy flying wing.
Not bold, Bob Hoover was intelligent, and maybee lucky.
Drugs cartel pilot. Always under radar. :-D Great skill and nice video.
Cool. What was the eventual production?
Dangerous, but FUN flyin!
I think you will find it was filmed and flown in New Zealand.
Breath taking .... I was wondering that it ditches the trees.
wow. Crazy. Too bad you didn't use a wider lens. Way too narrow FOW for that type of footage.
I just happend to have my DSLR with me. The real footage was taken with an Alexa - but I can't post any footage here...
A bit silly piloting through this area like this Close to the bush and his ,and the blades working hard , got away with it for now
Yeah, where's the power out spot?
Not the best attire or lack thereof for flying ...if they're forced down for any reason it's going to be mighty uncomfortable for the barefoot captain there hiking out of that jungle and assuming his feet didn't get too banged up in the landing from the lack of protection
cyclistpilot I would say marmite spread all over the hills .
That literally gave me constant anxiety flying so close to the trees like that. Wow...
what was the mission all about? I don't get it...
And that is how they keep them dam weeds down in the valley.
Holy crap! You trying' to mow the lawn with that thing??!
This is f***king cool
"Howling Mad" Murdock still at it eh
That looks like it was filmed in Puerto Rico, either at El Yunque Rain Forest or near Utuado's mountain range. Wherever you filmed it, awesome crazy fucking flying man! Why barefooted though, were you high on alcohol or drugs? And the finger? I take a gander at your video to see you flash "the bird", nice touch. Notwithstanding heli-pilot, I'm glad you made it through! : )
edal61 en el yunque no se puede sobrevolar ni civil militares únicos policía de PR para búsqueda y rescate
The finger? He didn't want me to film him flying barefooted
Julio Cruz eso no es cierto en el Yunque si se puede sobre volar aunque se le dice a los pilotos que lo eviten para evitar dañar más tanto la flora como la fauna. Donde si es más difícil volar es en el área del bosques seco.
Has to be in New Zealand, the forest is ours, I am sure. Certain trees I saw occur only here.
Nope ;)
And if another dummy was flying in the opposite direction?
Richard Ehrenberg hahaha chances are like 0.0000000001% :D
That was awesome! Next time, use a GoPro or something else with a wide lens, this footage could have been epic!
You should be in the next James Bond film!!!!
Maybe this was some test footage for a James Bond movie. ;)
cool shoes... :D
Always fail to understand why pilots do that. Was it his job requirement because if not that was pretty unnecessary
He seems to know what he is doing.
Never fly with a pilot whose nickname is Lucky
I have to ask what song he had playing on the ipod
fortunate son. had to be
Where was this taken?
This could be New Zealand, try looking at 'live deer capture NZ', used to do this many yrs ago!
Ian Bond it's in Papua New guinea. That deer capture was epic tho
@@DaviLu Papua New Guinea and he's flying like that? One wrong move and should he survive the crash, he'll be eaten by the hottentots.
@@manos3790 bruh xd
At least he didn't wear shoes...one less thing to take off when they embalm him.
lmfao I love the finger in the beginning
Obviously never put one in or you’d be wearing boots and pants. Listening to engine rotor fluctuations I’m not completely getting the “awesome” part after 20k hrs in helicopters.
While this pilot's good too in his own right, no doubt uf corz, but go check-out celeb "Australian Croc Wrangler ;- Matt Wright", this guy's exceptional. The way how he flies his chopper, it's a wonder how it did'nt experience 'mast-bumping' from tilting the swash-mechanism at such abruption, high pitch-angles & high G-loads. I' mean Robinsons are no "Bo105, Apache, Ka-52, Euro-Tiger or Italian Mangustas" to begin with.
New Mission Impossible Movie?
I know what production-- haha!! Great footage.
Bob Boberson what production is it?
Oh, I can't say... NDA. haha
Bob Boberson maaan I want to see the result :(
ain't seen shit like that since beating tree tops in Nam1
beleza de voo comandante
Many of the chopper pilots in Nam had to fly in shit like this. This looks like somewhere in South America. And, yeah risky business.
This video would have been better focussing just ahead so we could see the real route. It was made to look far more dangerous by the angles of the camera.
Lima Lima Bravo Yankee Zuluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu .... Tower Maranhaaaaaaoooooooo
A bunch of aviation experts in the comments
Use care and wear protective gloves while servicing mowers or changing blades.
where is this place ?
Rabaul region in Papua New Guinea.
It's beautiful ! Fly over it is the sense of freedom ! I hope one day to have a chance to fly there to
Man it looks so much like nz bush
@@pyrolabsberlin hey pyro labs, are you still alive? As you do fly rather nail bitingly close to the realms of impossibility.
Showing off to his bird in the right seat. Read about these kind of accidents all the time. Calm down lad.
Dinosaur neck pops out of the trees
No one would find you if you went down in that jungle!
No one would *look* for you if you went down in that jungle!
So, please tell me the pilot was NOT flying naked?
There are no shoes, socks nor pants to produce evidence that he was wearing clothes! LOL
He wore short pants... ;)
Putting both of you at risk.
Next time, he'll find an electric power line around one of the corners.
md 500?
MD500 it was
Im no pilot so im not gonna act like i know shit about helicopters but it kinda sounded like it was straining a bit like a small truck pulling a load that is kinda heavy and you hear the engine kinda like...growl or strain i dont know how to describe the sound but you all know what i mean
high lord of danktopia he is pulling power and you hear the blades working hard which is probably what you’re referring to. This model of helicopter is like a sports car, small, powerful and very manoeuvrable.
It’s was all within limits by the looks, but rather risky and reckless, especially with passengers. I wouldn’t want to have been onboard.
If I may say so myself
There is skill, there is stupid, and there is stupid luck. This is the latter! Probably hasn't posted newer videos for obvious reasons.
500 Ferrari of the sky
Doing stupid shit and getting away with it this time does not equate to awesome skills. Looks like a ton of fun until someone gets an eye poked out.
Why the middle finger👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽😔
Thanks for the panic attack.
Got to be a hoax. Not even a mental patient/thief would take that kind of risk with an expensive helicopter and an innocent passenger's life. Please tell me it's drone footage wacked to look like the real thing.
Nope, real thing! You hear how those rotors are thrashing?.. He's having to almost go full throttle to power thru those turns.
Ain't no drone footage. Everybody onboard was aware of the risks. The things you do for nice footage...
Pyro Labs what is the final result of the footage? It must look spectacular!
Can't tell for which movie. Maybe just test shots, maybe not.
Pyro Labs what year was this filmed? I’m curious if this pilot is still around.
Nice footage on youtube! Love to watch it. And that's all said. It is just stupid piloting. Awesome if you have a deathwish. This is realy flying the limits but not in a good way. One of the next flights it will go wrong.
Want to see some serious skills check out a RUclips vid called 500 abuse, seriously crazy shit.
Yeah man, its one of those I need to feel like the neighborhood cool guy that compels people to not only risk their own lives but the lives of passengers not to mention a beautiful helicopter. Please don't fly like that any more. All it will take is one tiny lapse in concentration or one obstacle you didn't count on and you will feel like the stupidest guy on earth, that is if you live through it all.
so many people havin a crack at this guy. Yes obviously there are dangers to flying like this but watch the guys up north of australia do cattle mustering they do shit that makes this guy look like his still on the ground.
hawkoT 25 Where are these Australian jungle mountain cattle you speak of 😉
Pussies! mustering cattle is like a merry go round ride, try live deer capture in NZ bush.
valcye yeah and they never crashed either. I mean you would never see one crash at a air show doing a demo or anything.
FARCRY
No such thing as an old bold pilot
Emjay Bruski there's one old bold pilot I know. Chuck Aron
Bob Hover.... Patty Wagstaff.
What is awesome??.....everybody can do that...
Foolish and unnecessary risk. Not professional piloting.
Al Fraser I agree... barefooted...? flips off the camera...? Stupid risks. Any Rotorcraft pilot could fly these maneuvers... I'm glad this pilot enjoyed himself... I know it's fun but not wise. Remember: there are old pilots and bold pilots, but rarely old bold pilots.
Do you always start your videos by flipping your viewers off? 500 downvotes.
Unbelievable. You watch a video where some idiot pilot not only puts himself but also his passenger(s) in danger and there are people complaining about a finger. What is it with you Americans???
