    I adore the music in this one. It's so sweet! The least the other nannygoats could say after she put on that nifty necklace was "Nice", "Nifty" and "Neato"!

    Oh I love the music! Back then there was always a great variety of musical styles from jazz to this sweet, childlike, Beatrix Potter sound whenever these types of sketches would come on. As a child they taught me alot

    One of the best ever. I think Nancy is a good lesson in doing your own thing and not caring what others think.

    This cartoon was my first referral to Nantucket, a quaint, beautiful island off of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. When I first saw this as a toddler, little did I know that Nantucket was going to be one of my favorite childhood vacation spots in the U.S.

    "Instead of nibbling her nails, she started to notice noodles." I love this cartoon, the dialogue, the music, everything. Did anything ever come of that Nancy the Nannygoat / Wanda the Witch spinoff that was rumored to be in the works? No I'm joking of course.

  • @MrJamieMurph4141969
    @MrJamieMurph4141969 11 лет назад

    Always liked this one--it is truly up there, with the classic "Wanda the Witch," which teaches W, using a very similar method, in terms of being a story using an entertaining method of teaching the "letter of the day," by supplying a number of words in the story,that begin with the letter in question. Great memories, of "Old School Sesame Street,"no doubt.

    I love this!!! So much fun!!! Nanny goats who nibble noodles while knitting are nincompoops. Is what I remembered but alas, I was wrong!

  • @d72jjpilc
    @d72jjpilc 15 лет назад

    I remember this - a creative collection of 'n' words that one can call 'noteworthy nonsense.'
    That is, even if something doesn't appear to make sense at first, the fact that someone was able to come up with such an idea deserves notice.

  • @trailmix40
    @trailmix40 14 лет назад +1

    Nancy doesn't get any respect. After all the verbal abuse, she had a nervous breakdown. She then changed her lifestyle by getting rid of the napkin, put on a necklace, and stopped nibbling on her nails. She still gets ridiculed by granny nanny about her new hobby of noticing noodles. Give her a break! I think she should take her nightingale and move far away from Nantucket.

    • @JustRobin2009

      Yes,I think so,since the whole style of this matches that of Wanda the Witch perfectly. Plus it sounds like the same narrator.

    I've actually forgotten about the word nincompoop, used to mean a dummy, or a stupid person, of course, until recently, when I have watched these SS classics. You will hear nincompoop in the premiere episode of SS(which I have a DVD of), where Kermit uses it as an N word, during his W lecture(because Cookie Monster, then unnamed, comes along and started eating the W, and first turned it into an N), so Kermit starts talking about N, then.

    Nancy Pelosi the Nanny goat.
    Went to the nutty Nanny goat farm. In Washington DC on Capitol hill. She said we have to pass Obama care to see what's in it. Yet it was so great that she excluded herself from it. The end.
