I’m so surprised to find those IEMs are manufactured in office building! I thought they were like made in the factory.
Chinese iem manufactures are all relatively small in scale, production requires high precision and employees all have high specialty in the field, so it makes sense to have a better working condition than factories.

they're men of culture also those quality control from moondrop, and my collection with Aria, Sparks, Starfield and SSP is great (based on personal experience)
Moondrop QC is top notch. I'm considering selling my Timeless to get a Kato bc the Timeless QC is nowhere near as reliable

@@wyw201 very different, if you want highs and sparkle with neutral characteristic go with starfield... if you want some bass (not bloated still controlled) go with aria for warm, smooth airy trebles

Great video, in the next videos where you will put subtitles try to put a black outline around the letters since in some moments of the video it is difficult to read the subtitles.
Agreed, it's a small addition but helps make it much easier to read, delightful company and I'm deffinitly going to buy some of their IEMs

I am a huge fan of Moondrop and just picked up the Moondrop CHU for everyday listening. At the price I paid for them I am stunned at the clarity and how they sound. I will be buying a couple more to have in my computer bag and an extra in case these go south. After seeing this interview I am even more convinced all the Moondrops I have are worth every penny. Well done and thank you.

I started with Crescent and Kanas Pro, but later I got Starfield, Dusk, and SSP. Now I ordered KATO and it's coming on Tuesday!
Did it worth upgrade from starfield to kato?
@@zei9046 Yes! Technicalities have been improved and the bass is now as fast as ER2XR. The sense of space and the clarity of the sound are the most notable differences. The treble is a lot smoother, something I was looking for because Starfield is a bit too much and sounds grainy. My only problem is that the treble is a bit shimmery and has a peak around 8kHz, it's not just a coupler resonance. I'm using a -5dB at 7850Hz for my canal resonance with the Spring timps and the shimmer is mostly fixed.
How's the Dusk compared to Kato?
@@nakirium9713 Dusk is better when I want to disect my music, it's more technical with better imaging and instrument separation, but a huge part of my music library is revealed to a fault making me skip a lot of my beloved songs because of it.
I personally prefer Kato over Dusk because it's much more smoother with almost the same clarity. Being less technical is something I'm willing to trade in favour of the enjoyment. Another big advantage that Kato has over Dusk is the very wide and expanded soundstage. I really love it.

I am a student, bought the SSP for myself due to massive popularity, i upgraded from a QKZ VK4.. Wanted to try the Aria's but it's expensive because i live in Malaysia. Surely would go over there to try them when i start working later..
Yea audio is expensive I legit can't buy anything but my audio gear. Buying blessing 2s soon but I currently own so many headphones that I do not know what to do with them.

Haven't heard the Z1R but the choice between the two should be extremely easy just decide if you love bass or care for a more linear, light bass and detail oriented sound. Bass on S8 is present and you can hear it but you can't feel it. DD bass is something else. For treble and neutral tuning S8 should be the choice and also the price.
Moondrop IEMs are really great. I've been using 200+ headphones for many years, and I can't believe their cheapest Moondrop Aria sounds as good or better than many of them.

Without further research, my dumbass quickly thought Moondrop was Japanese just cause there's an anime girl on the SSR box that looks like EGOIST mascot.
I never realized moondrop anything resembles EGOIST as a fan of both. I would be enthusiastic about a crossover where moondrop made an EGOIST special edition where they tuned the sound to be one of the best sounding IEM for this artist with special art, without other compromises that it still sound great on everything.

I just bought myself the SSP's last week for Chinese valentines day for 200RMB. The relative small size and overall build quality (cable included is very good) was the decisive factor compared to other Chifi producers. It's also a plus they endorse geek（宅男） culture, which can be seen from their style.
Finally, I assumed Moondrop was from Shenzhen, and finally I realize they're right on my doorstep in Chengdu. Might pay them a visit, too. :D
