I don't get why they don't just make it so that shield upgrades reduce the effectiveness of EMP... I feel like that is an easy way to not make Ghosts weaker in ZvT, but also make it so that there aren't ZERO army compositions that can fight a Terran with more than two Ghosts. The change also doesn't make Archons any stronger in ZvP.
The mu is fine though. Ghost emp is smaller than ever, which makes a huge difference, no interference matrix timing availablle now, if it is there it is much much later. Idk what more could you ask for.

I like how Protoss has 50% less hp in TvP. It's very nice cool and interactive gameplay for the Papertoss. It's very fun to gamble with disruptors, if you dare to miss you just lost the game and if you hit a full ball of bio you bought yourself 2 minutes until Terran is 200/200 again for about 0.5 minerals bc the Terran army is cheaper than an actual piece of paper. Nice! I main Zerg now and I'm way higher than I used to be with Protoss. it's just so much easier. But my heart... It still yearns for Protoss.

When they finally will fix EMP? I mean, this is an instantaneous 100 AoE damage which devalues shield upgrades to nothing and halves the amount of health of almost any protoss unit. Don't get me wrong, Clem is obviously a higher level player than Harstem but this EMP crap is ridiculous. Give the shield upgrades some resistance to EMP, for example 10/25/40.

distruptor shots aint instantaneous shots like emp. theres a counter play by just running away with stim army. there isnt much counter play to emp @@motan7864
This game was an extreme example of it, but yeah, Protoss has no counterplay to EMP and just has to retreat if the position isn’t significantly favorable. Clem’s micro had a lot to do with it, but most “fights” Harstem took were prodding, getting EMP’d, then retreating while stimmed bio picks off a bunch of units for free.
It feels like when Harstem got a hit was when he successfully mindgamed Clem to think there were no more disruptor shots. It feels like if I'm playing at that level, maybe I keep one ruptor back a screen or two so that when Clem thinks he has all the shots baited out and stims forward, I can pull back and take one more shot
Winter, I think this one of your best casts in awhile. So much excitement! I laughed out loud multiple times. "What a spread, I can't believe it's not butter!" never gets old haha The bio ball being compared to a the tackle pile of football players was pretty good too ^_^
Widow mines are just a poorly thought out unit. They are too cheap, require no micro and, with upgrades, are a constant reminder that when you cry long enough on balance forums, you can have an imba race (terran) and still pretend to be a victim.
Shield upgrades aren't as good because: -they're more expensive and usually shields don't recharge and most units have more hp than shields- Because Terran just EMP's them.

Harstem wasting 25 zealots in 2 minutes into nothing. Maybe he should learn to micro a bit more? Edit: warping 8 zealots into the main, not micro them at all He could've denied 3 3 upgrades immediately.
Lost count of how many times I watched the Toss units do nothing except be runaway target practice for the Terran. zealots charge in for 1 tap then run away slowly getting shot in the back the whole way. what’s the point in making an army if u just run away every time u encounter the enemy? and Terran of course stutter steps away whenever there’s even a hint of a fight. Toss could theoretically blink chase it down with a zealot meat shield, but Toss is too busy running away too…. Honestly if that’s peak PVT, the dynamic is pretty stupid and boring to watch.

@@motan7864 Those aren't really comparable. Ghost is a near instantaneous cast ability while disruptor is the slowest siege ability in the game.
