I wasn’t sure that people liked Season 2 as much. It’s so rich with existentialist philosophy, which gets a bit too heavy for most, but it’s exactly the thing I loved about it.

It blows your mind, right? Its freakin' Billy bob! Bad santa, bad news bears, Armageddon, pushing tin.... I was surprised at how good he looks, he's an old man.
I worked a few summers as a landscaper in a public park, and I wasn't too keen on the job because I'm not the most outdoorsy type. A guy joined our crew late into the season and we immediately clicked. We had so much in common, the same types of movies and anime and all kinds of other stuff. The conversation got me through the job more than a good attitude and strong will ever could. But one thing we differed on was that he was a big fan of true crime and crime-related fiction. There were two shows he insisted I watch, one of which was Fargo. I loved it and fell in love with the series. There have been some seasons I like more than others (since each one is a self-contained story with teeny bits of overlap) but each one is incredibly well-told and immersive. I think I'm going to wait for you to finish this season before I tackle season 4 which I haven't seen yet. But I'm glad you're enjoying it. The shocking and intense moments are so unique, so seeing someone's reactions for the first time is super interesting.
This show is the definition of underrated. It's a shame not many people know about this gem. Each season has a new cast of characters but it all takes place in the same universe.
I've seen Brandon react to other small Indie films before (Peanut Butter Falcon comes to mind). Sling Blade would great addition. It was the film that put Billy Bob Thornton's career on the map.

He was also in A Simple Plan, Friday Night Lights (movie not tv show), Monster's Ball, Armageddon. And pretty famously, was married to Angelina Jolie for a time.

Everyone was brilliant in this series but has to be a special mention for Allison Tolman and Billy Bob Thornton. 2 of the best performances in any TV series ever. Up there with Rust from True Detective and that's saying something.
A few facts that might interest you. Molly's dad is played by Keith Carridine, whose brother David played Bill in Kill Bill. Gus is played by Colin Hanks, son of Tom & Billy Bob Thornton, who plays the main hitman is the ex husband of Angelina Jolie. You should check him out in out Bad Santa & The Baytown Outlaws. oh man, i gotta say, martin freeman plays a lying murder preeeetty well lol. ive only ever seen him in pretty likeable roles; john watson, bilbo baggins, etc, but man when he says "well, uh, its real fuzzy, but uh, i might 've said, my face is a mess" while the audience knows hes lying through his teeth... ooooh boy lmao

@@BasedNate I actually just started season 3, (only seen 2 episodes) so I'm not sure. But it'd be interesting if they did reuse him, since really the seasons are just different years in the same place.

Everyone was brilliant in this series but has to be a special mention for Allison Tolman and Billy Bob Thornton. 2 of the best performances in any TV series ever. Up there with Rust from True Detective and that's saying something.
